Vero Beach: Ocean View Inn Room

I have a question about the Ocean View Inn Rooms at Vero Beach. Are only the rooms directly facing the ocean considered ocean view or also the rooms on the side of the building, facing the pool on one side and some villas on the other.

Is there a map of the Vero Beach property available that shows which room categories are located where?

The Ocean View Inn rooms directly face the ocean. We stayed in one over the summer and the view was amazing! You will want a room higher up for the best view. We were directly in the middle on the top floor. Not sure about a map availability.

Maybe we just got a bad deal, but we went to Vero in June. We were in an OVIR. It was facing the pool on the side of the building. You definitely did have an ocean view, but it was not in the front of the building.

I guess Vero is not that popular in January, so I hope to get an Oceanview room directly facing the ocean. I also put in a request for a room on a higher floor.

We'll see.

we stayed on thday oceanview room was on side on pool side could see ocean but not beach unless you leanded out of the balcony.

In the past when I have booked OVIR, I have always requested a "direct ocean" view. Also, some of the rooms have solid balconies; the balconies with rails are much nicer for sitting and enjoying the view.

Request "direct ocean view". Our inn room was on the end away from the pool. I am so short, I had to lean out over the railing to see the ocean. The resort was packed, & could not have been moved to another room. Could have saved our points....

Same experience here with getting only a partial ocean view while facing the pool. We got direct view our first visit and partial this last time. Both times we booked ocean view and requested "high floor" in our room request.

I don't know if the room location makes a difference or not, but our room was horribly humid and smelled musty. We had to empty the de-humidifier every day and they came every other day and sprayed someting to mask the odor. The first day after check-in the odor made me sick to my stomach. They were very nice and whatever they sprayed helped a lot.
