Our family will be heading to disney next month. DD2 really wants to go see the ocean. Do you think it would be a good choice to stay at Vero Beach Resort? We have never been there before and don't know much about it. WE have points to use so it wouldn't cost us cash to stay there. Help me out with any info please!!

If you've got the points available, sure do it if there's availability for nights you're intersted in booking.

VB is approximately 2 hour drive

from WDW. You can also visit for the day if you'd like, member pool-hopping

privilge extends to VB Resort.

VB is a great resort, our family

loves it. Here's VB adoration thread with lots of great info.

Enjoy your trip :goodvibes

VB is so relaxing that DH who doesn't like ocean sports wanted to buy there, and we did after visiting it once! He loves how he can relax and just enjoy the atmosphere of the area. We only had a garden view inn room during that stay, so it wasn't even the gorgeous view from the room that sold him!

Best wishes as you plan your VB vacation.

I love Vero Beach and try to get there each year. If you want to relax enjoy the ocean and a beautiful resort do go. :thumbsup2

IF you want to see the ocean you do not need to go to Vero Beach. Vero Beach is two hours from WDW. The ocean is only about an hour drive.

VB is a great resort and we holiday there each May. But it is a bit of a hike if all you want is a day at the ocean.

Yes, stay at VB for a day or two. The ocean is too rough for her to be without a parent constantly keeping grip on her, but you know that. Otherwise, it is beautiful to see the endless ocean and contemplate how big the earth is by looking at the ocean.

VB has the best CMs for young ones. You will be taken in and likely consider buying there. Just a warning.

Have a great time :beach:

what time of year is a good time to go?

We have been to VB most months and I would say for us, we will limit our visits to May thru November. Other months can be fine, but can also be chilly. Keep in mind late June thru October is also hurricane season. With that said my favorite months are May and November.
