Vero Beach Love Bugs- any in Sept or May?

Trying to plan for my next VB trip, was thinking second week of Sept. or last week of May. I know love bugs come out around then, wondering if anyone has seen them around those times. Thanks for any info!

We have been in April, May, and August (peak lovebug times) and haven't ever experienced them in masses. Haven't been to VB in September (too much tropical activity). Maybe we've just been lucky.

We were there the last few days of May this year and there were no lovebugs!

We have been at VB for the first full week of May for the past three years. The second year (May 07) we were overrun with lovebugs. The other years we were not.
