July 19, we are heading to Vero Beach for a few days after at week at the World. Does anyone know the layout of the resort? We would like to have a beach front -- but doesn't EVERYONE!!! ??? So, what are the best areas/buildings to request? Or should we just take our chances?

The only ocean view rooms will be the cottages and oceanview inn rooms. The other rooms are spread out in a few different bldgs but all an easy walk to the beach, pool or restaurants. But except for maybe a small bit of water the other rooms won't have an ocean view. We have stayed in a few different buildings and have loved it each time. Even without the ocean view the balconies are quiet, private and relaxing.

We love Vero Beach.

The only "beach front" villas are the three bedroom cottages. Your best bet is to request a high floor with ocean view.

We were just there last month and had a great ocean view from our villa. 1539, 1538 and 1540 has one as well. It's the top floor of building 15.

Kat4Disney, Thanks for posting info about the VB thread. All the info I could imagine and more! I searched the boards for Vero Beach and got nothing. Guess I need to refine my searching skills . . . .

Thanks, JamaKa66, JimC, teansue, 2infinityandbeyond, and Kat4Disney! This information is great! As I posted to kat4Disney, I tried searching the boards and came up with nothing. We are looking forward to our first stay at VB, especially after being in the parks for a week. We are looking for relaxing, and I think we'll have it. :-)

Have a safe 4th!

Here is the layout of VB

The cottages all are ocean front. The OVIR (ocean view inn rooms) have a view of the ocean. After that the lock-off 1 bedrooms mostly have views of the ocean.. after that everything is a bit of luck.

After all that... You will find that VB is the best place you will ever stay. Just the best.

We are really looking forward to out stay, but we don't want the time in the parks to go by too quickly. We love East Coast beaches. Where we are in Texas just doesn't compare (Houston area). The layout is interesting. We have a one-bedroom, so we may just chance it. Only 5 more days to Disney -- like the commercial says, "I'm so excited, I can't sleep!"

I'll post in this thread when we come home. We also have a pre-trip thread going called "It's Official, We are planning JULY trip" and we'll post updates there also. Look for something after July 23. Thanks again everyone for all your advice!
