Vero Beach Inn or Studio?

Thinking of sneaking in a few nights in VB following a cruise, but wondering about the differences between a Studio or an Inn room. The points are the same, though a studio seems much larger. Anyone have any info?

Here is my understanding of the studio/inn room issue:

If you book a studio you can either be located in the villas or they often substitute a "garden view inn room" for a studio-which means you would be in the main building.

The studio would have the bed and pull out couch-if you are placed in the main building in a garden view room you will have two beds.

We always reserve an inn ocean view room. We think the room is huge. We have never reserved a studio because an ocean view is not a guarantee with one of these. For 2 more pts, the guaranteed ocean view is worth it.

I think this only happens with cash guests. Points for the studio and the oceanview inn are the same so they wouldn't "downgrade" someone from a studio.

There really isn't a lot of difference in the two except for the location -- villa building or main building. Also, the bedding -- 2 queens or a queen and a sleeper sofa. The oceanview inn room does give you an oceanview.

So, I guess if I had a choice between a studio and an ocean view inn room I would pick the inn room. This is just my opinion, though. We've always enjoyed being in the inn and being able to see the ocean.

For a group of more than 2 I would go for an Inn room everytime. Having proper beds is an important issue IMHO, but also depending on the age of the kids, it's possible to leave them in the room ( or leave them to watch the movie on the TV in the lobby) if you fancy a couple of drinks in the bar. That way they only have to walk through the lobby of the hotel, not through the grounds.

For a stay of more than 4 days (assuming 1 or 2 people) I would opt for the studio as I'd favour the extra room and option of having a "sitting area" .

For a short stay I'd probably take the convenience of the Inn room as it's not really worth bringing in emergency rations ( AKA beer etc) just for a couple of days, IMHO you may as well have a couple of beers in the Green Cabin and stumble upstairs to bed.

The studios are probably slightly quieter and a little more private if you think that is an important issue, but unfortunately there is no guarantee in any hotel/lodging that you don't get a noisy neighbour that upsets the normal "status quo".

THANKS so much for the info! An inn oceanview room it will be. Vernon, your tip about the Green Lantern is what sealed the deal ... don't like going too far from DS5 and 15, but a quick trip one night is something we are comfortable doing as a treat.

After 7 nights in a DCL cabin, we'll welcome the extra space in our inn room
