hiya,going 21 Sept 08 me dh and ds 13 (today) will there be stuff for him to do? i have read you can go through a tunnel over to an area with tennis court and some other things, is there anything else through this tunnel - shop some where to get drinks restrooms etc or will we have to keep coming back to room how far is it away??? Also what can we expect in terms of weather and no-seeums? I have read so many fab tips and pieces of info annd hope you can help with this.....

The tunnel takes you across the highway to a recreation area with a lake, tennis courts, BBQs, shaded gazebo, horseshoe court (? forgive me if I've called it something stupid, but I live in the UK and we don't have the same thing here so I'm not sure what the correct name is!), parking, walking paths around the lake and a grassed area.

It's not far away (only the distance across the highway, really).

It's a very tranquil area - that's one of the reasons DH and I enjoy it over there, but a teenager might not be quite so thrilled! I guess it depends on what he enjoys doing

There is no shop there, and no purpose built restroom, although I do recall seeing a free-standing single restroom - we call them portaloos here.
