Next year our spring break falls at Easter and I said I would never again stay at WDW during this time - it was just too busy for us. A few weeks before or after great - but not during Easter week.

I'm considering trying to book at Vero Beach at the 7th month mark. I am concerned after reading some reports that my DD16 (and possibly a friend) would not find enough to do here. My DD also said after this year she would like to take a break from WDW :confused3

I would appreciate any thoughts you have on this area for teens (or possibly another area of Florida). We would probably book a 1 or 2 bedroom. Thanks for any help!

We were just there last week April 1-7 and I have to say that it is a very nice resort and we loved every minute of it all!
They do have TEEN activities scheduled every day. Some run more than once a week. Some activities were a fee and some were not.
For examples:

They have for the sports; Teen Archery, Volleyball, Dodge ball,Capture the flag,Basketball, Soccer, Relay races and then cel painting, crafts, trivia, bingo. These are all for 13 and up. You have to sign up at Eb and Flo's Rental for the things you want to do once you get there. They give you a week schedule on paper.

Some other things that were fun..... water slide races, Scuba experience, Surf school, and sing along campfire. They just got a new telescope and we could see the stars and moon at Star Gazing evening.

A couple of tips for teens,
They have to have their room keys on them to get into pool area, etc. Bring a hole punch and some necklace material to make a room key holder. Many teens had them on. You might want to add room charging to there keys so they can get there own food etc.
Also get the $11.99 refillable mug and they can get there own drinks all week long.
As members, you can get 2 movie rentals per day FREE. They did have newer movies as well as classics.
You can also rent games like monopoly, sorry, etc for free.

There were alot of kids there from 10-17 so they even had a girls vs boys softball game on the lawn. It was fun to watch as some dads became the refs and pitchers. Many teens hung out by the pool or in the lobby.

Let me know if you have any more questions. I am going to do a Vero Beach review on DISBoards later this week. So watch out for Vero Beach First Timers Tips!

I'm taking my 16 yr old to Vero in June with some other family members. I sure he will be able to find something to do with the ocean right there and a pool. I don't intend to entertain him. There is always something to do for everyone.
