Thinking of a split stay at WDW and VB. What is the difference between a studio and an Inn room?

Inn rooms have 2 queen beds and are located in the main building. They do have the small kitchenette but definitely have a hotel feel. The studios will have a queen and a sleeper sofa and will be in the other outer buildings. Some of the Inn rooms have very small balconies with solid walls while others have large one's with either solid or slatted walls. I'd guess that studios have consistently sized balconies.

Some Inn Rooms have connecting doors to another Inn Room like some studios at PVB.

Kat4Disney is spot on. I stayed in a Inn garden view room a couple of years ago. The room was in the main building (check in area and restaurant, etc.). Room was essentially a hotel room. The location was great. However, I do not recall having a kitchen, unless they meant having a small refrigerator.

The kitchenette is exactly the same between studios and inn rooms

The studios have a similar shape to the studios at OKW.

Biggest difference to me is that the Inn rooms have doors that exit out into a hallway, as was stated before, more like a hotel. The studio rooms exit immediately outside, like at SSR and OKW. I like the studios b/c when I return from the beach or pool in my swimsuit it's nice that I'm going directly into my room from outside and not walking through a cold air-conditioned lobby to get to my room.
