Vero Beach...beach wheelchair?

Has anyone been to Disney's Vero Beach Resort and used the beach wheelchair they have available to borrow there? If so, can you describe it? My girls used the one at the Polynesian to get into the pool; it was way too big for them, and the PVC pipe it was made out of hit them in all the wrong places--ouch. It was ok to just get into the pool, but if that's what they have at Vero, it would be too uncomfortable to use at the beach.

Sure would love to take a vacation to the beach again some day...

Sorry to see you don't have an answer yet. Just bumping this up so maybe someone who knows will see it.
If you don't get an answer, you could try calling or emailing member services. Good luck and let us know what you find out.

Thanks, Sue. I can give them a call. Was just hoping someone might have personal experience.

Most beach chairs are like the one you discribed. I don't know how old your DD's are but if they don't weigh much I found that a plastic sled with a long rope attached pulled across the sand great.

Thanks, Michigan. The girls are 16, so too big for sleds, but thanks for the idea. I'll have to pass it along to some friends with younger kids.
