Is VB hard to get at 7 months? What are considered the slow seasons and the busy seasons at VB? Anyone have luck getting a reservation at 7 months? Thanks!
We got an inn room standard view at 7 months, for a week in March before our cruise. I joked that we had the worst view in the place, and we still loved it!
I'm not sure that I've ever read of people not getting into VB at 7 months with the exception of getting a Beach Cottage. If you call right at 7 months, you could be OK.
THANKS everyone for all the helpful responses... DH & I really want to try VB if the kids will agree to it. I mentioned "going to the beach" next Spring Break and they were not too thrilled. Oh, what have I done raising a bunch of Disney-holics?!?!

You can also fly into Melbourne Airport and Disney VB will provide transportation to the hotel (if you didn't rent a car - but I would recommend renting a car). We love Vero BEach, my kids put up a stink about going there too but now they can't wait to go back...even more than Disney they say and we've gone to Disney yearly since they were born. There are activities all day for the kids, the pool the beach! It's so relaxing and fun!
I just called to check out Sept dates and there is rooms available but are limited to only inn room garden view. These dates were Sept 14th - 20th and Labor day weekend Aug 31st - Sept 6th. I did not book, was thinking about it because airline tickets are cheap and need to use some points by May 2012. I am going to keep searching airline ticket prices and search another day when not as crowded. Hoping to get a 1 bedroom. So it is possible to get a room in less than 7 months.
I got the 3BR cottage 3/28-4/1 @ 7month window. It was fantastic, the particular cottage we were in had one deck overlooking the beach, the other directly across from the pool. My kids also had no desire to go to the beach they wanted to stay @ WDW but they all loved it & want to go back. They have a great pool & beach, great kid activities & the pirate party was a hit too. I would love to add on points there- maybe someday!

I had to waitlist for a few of our nights in an OVIR last October. I booked a studio for those nights and waitlist the remaining nights in the OVIR. It finally (close to arrival) came through.
