If we already have Magic Bands from our stay at Disney the week before-can they be activated as our room keys for Vero?

Vero is still on the old Key Card system. No bands there.

Christmas time we had on our magic bands since we came from AKV. They worked on the door at vero.
Officially they were not supposed to but they did. Much easier for my girls girls to wear them magic band than carry the room key.

Exciting! I read other reports of Magic Bands working at Vero and thought it would be so much easier for the kids getting in the pool/room/etc. Did you have your Vero ressie # linked through MDE? I wonder if that is the trick?? I plan on calling over the weekend and will update!

I was able to find a few minutes this afternoon to call the resort and was able to confirm that our Magic Bands will work!! Yay!! Your Vero reservation has to be linked to MDE and Vero is not fully operational allowing charge purchases, etc so the bands will only work as room keys but that's all I wanted them for anyways so it was great news!

If anyone is currently at Vero, can you post a photo of the current Shutters dinner menu, and/or the Green Cabin Room food menu?

We arrive next Saturday, and neither menu is online, and we are trying to decide whether to eat on site or off site that evening.

I was able to find a few minutes this afternoon to call the resort and was able to confirm that our Magic Bands will work!! Yay!! Your Vero reservation has to be linked to MDE and Vero is not fully operational allowing charge purchases, etc so the bands will only work as room keys but that's all I wanted them for anyways so it was great news!

We had our MB's, but didn't think to ask this past May if they worked for the doors. Would make sense if going forward with the new restaurant renovation that they will allow charging also on MB's. HOPING!

Will a mug from the Disney Dining Plan be reactivated at Vero just like a refillable mug purchased onsite at Disney? We were undecided on the DDP but now think it makes sense if we can still reactivate the refillable mug at Vero too. I saw in previous posts that you need the mug receipt and I don't think the DDP gets you a printed receipt so I was wondering if it worked differently than just outfit purchasing the "length of stay" mug. Thanks as always!!

Thank you! Being able to use the mugs during our Vero trip make the DDP worth the cost for our family but it has been a few years since we had the DDP and I didn't remember any receipt at the time. Hopefully they can give me something

Booked a two bedroom at VB. Do you recommend a lock off for a better view of the ocean?

Yes a lockoff on a higher floor would give you a better shot at a view

Hi- we are a planning a trip next summer. Question- are there any 2 bedroom villas with ocean view?

Lockoff 2 BR on a higher floor will give you the best shot at a ocean view. The standard 2BRs are on the parking lot side of the buildings

We will have our first stay at VB Sept 30th-Oct 3rd. Then off to WDW. Two question. We have an Inn Room with ocean view
(is there a room request I should put in) and we will be on the dining plan once we arrive at WDW. Has anyone had luck getting their refillable mug prior to going to WDW. I have seen people posting there mugs were reactivated after leaving?

When we're at VB in early November, DH & I will be training for our first 5K. Are there walking/jogging trails around the resort? Distances marked or mapped?

Ok...so I ordered the cactus juice in the spray and the sunblock. Yesterday I ordered a portable beach umbrella and anchor that looks like it will fit in my suitcase so we don't have to rent an umbrella..... I'll be picking up beach chairs at either Walgreens or Walmart when we arrive. We'll be arriving on Sept 14th and then leaving for Disney World on the 19th for 5 days. Is there anything else I need to pick up? Has anyone ordered a cake from Shutters? Thanks again for all of the great tips!! April
