Is it possible to get a 1BR ocean view? Are all rooms in the inn the same and the 1BR in a surrounding building or are there 1BR's in the inn? There are only 2 of us going - my husband and I, but they look so much sunnier than a regular ocean view room. I'm going in October and I'm tempted to change to a 1BR if we had an ocean view.

I have tried unsuccessfully to wade through this entire thread. Several times I've sat down and said today I'm going to get through it. Thanks anyway. I don't know how others do it!

You can request a 1 br with ocean view, but it is only a request.

The Inn rooms are either garden view or ocean view, each guaranteed booking categories, all deluxe studio accomodations.

Studio, 1 br and 2 br are in seperate villa buildings.

here is a link to the resort map:

There are ocean facing 1 bedroom units but due to the relatively dense vegetation you may or may not actually be able to see the ocean. We were facing the ocean on the second floor of building 14 and the vegetation blocked the view. The third floor would give you a better chance.

As other have suggested there are (direct) ocean facing 1 bedrooms 6 unit per villa (Blg 12,14,15) although the 1st floor is out and the 2nd floor in 14 is iffy due to vegatation. 2nd floor in 12 and 15 you have a good shot. So if my math is correct I think 10 of the ocean facing 1 bdrs are ok. Also the 3rd floor 1brs on each of the sides you will also get an ocean view. IMHO Blg 15 is best for this especially if you get the "south" side of that bldg. The views from that side are equally spectacular as an OVIR IMOH.

October you should have a good shot if you ask for "top floor", Ocean View, Bldg 15 request.

Have fun ... Im going to VB in 2 weeks and just cant wait to be back!!!!:cool1:

Thanks for the information. I just saw a picture of a 1BR with those big windows and the sun streaming in and am wondering how we could ever do a deluxe room now with what appears to be a small window. I have never ever before made a request. I have never ever been to Vero Beach. Knowing I might not get the request, is it worth it to switch to a 1 br do you think? DH is totally ok with this. (actually - he might be a little spoiled. We take 1BR's when there aren't any studios available.)

Nothing short of an act of Congress, I did get into a 1bdrm. today. I have a view pic to post later, but while they are more spacious, none will have a direct view, or even a hint of ocean view. Maybe by chance one in bldg. 12 or 15. They are all dedicated unless you request a 1 bdrm plus lockoff( giving you the 2bdrm. space). These will be on the ocean facing side, otherwise your room will not be on that side of the building. Thats why I will never be able to get the hubby off of the inn balcony.

We had a 1bdrm and if you looked to the left we had a beautiful view of the ocean. We did not request it. We just got it. But we do prefer the Inn.:goodvibes
