Anyone at Vero have a weekly activity guide they can share? We were there last July so they had not resumed many activities. Looking in particular for Mickey Tie Dye as the kids love that. We will be there in a few weeks.

Also, would love any feedback on the "new" mini golf. Was the refurb in the fall just replacing the grass or any change to the mini golf course at all?

Any info is appreciated!! Thanks.

I would love to piggyback on this thread and also ask about availability of toddler(age 3) activities as well as what covid policies are in place such as masks and distancing. Also is there outdoor dining available or only indoors? Any info would be appreciated as we have never been there and are considering a trip with our grandson but want to be safe.

Thank you!

hoping someone can help us with new activity guide but I can tell you from our visit in August they require masks at the resort. You do not have to have them on at the pool deck an beach but should have them on walking around even if outside. Definitely inside the Inn. We still do not eat indoors so the main restaurant was not available for us. They have a quick serve that we used to take back to our room and some outside tables at the pool but no table service dining outdoors. VB is one of our home properties and we love it but the food situation is limited. The main restaurant and quick serve. There are more third party delivery services that go there now than in years past but not a ton. Closest other restaurants are a 15 min drive or so.

Thanks for that info! It sounds like dining is a problem. I've also read some trip advisor reviews that even when the dining is operating the restaurant is overpriced and not good. So that is disappointing.

We are planning a beach trip with a 3 year old and you just can't spend all day on the beach so I was hoping there would be activities for him for when we are not doing the beach. But we also want to be safe with this virus so I wondered what was available that we would be OK with.

We may need to look for someplace else since this info is so hard to find.

We have visited Vero each summer (sometimes at Easter) for the past 10 years when we became owners there (also own at BLT). We live in FL so we see it as a 3-4 night maximum trip. Our kids are 12 &10 now so we can spend all day at the beach and pool. We love doing mini golf at night and bike on the trails in the am. I really believe the biggest con to VB is the lack of food options. We typically get a 2 bedroom villa/beach cottage and therefore, have the full kitchen so generally get groceries but of course, much prefer not to cook during vacation! But it is an option and especially now during the pandemic, works out well.

I had an activity guide from July 2020 saved somewhere but cannot find it so still hoping those that are there now may be able to share!

I was there last week, with my family. Will look to see if we have that activity guide. Both restaurants are open. We had two dinners at Wind and Waves. The first night was really good and it surpassed out expectations. Second night, it was terrible. Service was good both times, but the food was very inconstant. Not sure if the cook staff was different from a Sunday to Tuesday night

We will be checkin in on Saturday. We are not with kids and don't usually look for any activities. I will see if there is a flyer/sign posted, etc.

Further to my above comment regarding dining, I should have said that everything else about our stay was great. We love this resort and have another 8 days booked next month. Can't wait to be back! Below is the activity sheet from our trip last week. They don't seem to change that much week to week. Hope you have a great trip

Thanks SO much! This is great - they definitely added a lot more back in since our visit in July. Very happy to see Mickey Tie Dye added back on. My kids will be thrilled. Thank you!

We were really surprised they were still scheduled during our visit in July 2020. Very happy to see Mickey Tie Dye added back on. My kids will be thrilled. Thank you!
I second your thanks!
I am a bit surprised they removed the slide races as we were there in July of last year also and thought they did a good job of social distancing. My kids look forward to this event every year. They literally talk strategy about a month out!

I hope they are still doing them and it is just part of the pool party.

I hope they are still doing the slide races too! It’s seriously one of the things we are all looking forward to!! I wish other DVC resorts would adopt this activity!

Last time we were there (right before refurb) there was a pizza place within walking distance that our kids really enjoyed. They had pizza, pasta, subs, and canned drinks. Not great for daily food but was better than driving 15 miles for pizza night. I believe it's called Orchid Island Pizza. We love this resort, despite not having great dining options!

The calzones are great also! We usually order from there once a trip. Normally after a long day at the beach/pool.

We stayed at Vero Beach this past December. There were plenty of activities, including tie dye Mickey shirts and a lot of other craft activities. There were scavenger hunts, Bingo at the pool, geocaching, bocce ball lessons, etc. Bike rental and mini-golf were up and running. It was our first trip so I can't compare the mini-golf course to anything else but it was fine.

Masks are required everywhere outdoors at the resort except for the pool deck and the beach. Even though it was chilly when we were there, the hot tub was quite crowded (to where I wouldn't have felt safe going in- and yes, more crowded than at regular Disney World resorts where we also visited same trip) for almost the entire day every day, so go immediately upon pool opening if that matters to you.

Wind and Waves was a solid 3-star restaurant (mainline Disney table service quality) and we ate there twice a day. Not gourmet, but not bad at all and we also liked the ambiance there. If a dish isn't to your liking, send it back and get something different- I did that once or twice out of the several times we dined there without any incident or being charged for the sent back dish. I'm not a foodie so some others will have harsher opinions, but I definitely recommend trying it early on in the trip rather than just assuming you won't like it.

Anyone do the margarita or rum adult activities at Green Cabin room? Curious if those are just tastings or how they have them set up?

Yes - My wife and I did the Margarita event less than 2 weeks ago. The bartender made us 3 different Margaritas, talked about the ingredients, gave us the recipe and a little history on each. I wouldn't say we learned a lot but we really enjoyed the experience! They paired it with some chips and salsa/guac. The woman who runs the events, Trish, is amazing! Tables were set up 6 feet apart. Very small group, maybe only 7 couples. It was fun and worth the cost for us. We are going back in April and plan to do the Rum class. Oh and if you are not a big drinker... there is no rush to get out after so you can sip at your own pace.

We are not eating in restaurants at home and would not want to eat indoors there either. Can I assume there are no outdoor dining options at all?

Thanks so much for that activity guide. Looking at it though I don't see any activities for a 3 year old. Is there a different sheet for younger kids? Or do they not offer activities for this age?

There are many outdoor tables around the pool area that you could eat from the quick serve restaurant or even to bring your own food. But there are no table service outdoor options at Disney Vero beach.

I believe you can order ToGo food off the full menu of Wind and Waves from the poolside bar.

As others have mentioned there is also the market and tables around the pool deck. The market serves a nightly dinner plate that changes. It ranges from Roast half chicken and mashed potatoes to burgers. We find it convenient and pretty good food.
