Vermonters Take on The World- Day2
Todays plan- AK, Rainforest Café PS for 6pm
The phone rings- its 6:45 AM I let it ring, DH is across the bed from me, and I know he wont climb over me to get it. DD8 jumps up- I say goo, get that phone please She answers with a sleepy hello AND theres MICKEY! From here what we heard for about 10 minutes was OMG Mickey mouse called OMG OMG OMG (that OMG is oh my gosh..) Dani- wake up- it was Mickey he said get up. Dad did you hear me? Mickey mouse called me! Mom- holy moly- OMG OMG OMG this went on until I finally said- GOO GET IN THE SHOWER!
I wanted to take the truck to AK, as I was unsure of the time the transportation stopped and our PS at Rainforest Café was at 6pm. We get in the truck and head over. Of course, were stopped at security to check out bags. Didnt take long at all, and if people would LISTEN when they tell you to unzip all pockets before getting to the check point it would go A LOT quicker!
I tell the kids- bare with me on this- I know theres a lot you want to stop and see, but follow me first and then well slow way down.
We take a left- like everyone else, and head to the Safari. Not much of a line, as it was EE day, and we were some of the first few in the park. We were there for the rope drop, and I had placed us to the left to begin with. AHHHHH enjoying info from the Dis!
We get to the Safari and were actually the 2nd truck to leave. The kids thought this safari was great. All the animals were out, and our tour guide- was just hilarious! DH and I being die-hard Chevy fans, found it interesting that the Safari truck is actually a Chevy Pickup- we could see the dash and it was identical to DHs 89 pickup he use to have. We giggled about that.
We got off the Safari and we had to stop at the unloading dock. I am a gum chewer and needed a piece, and the girls are big water drinkers. It also was time to reload the camera went through an entire role of film! As were standing there, everyone else takes off. The CM comes over to the DDs and asks them if they have a minute. I say yes, they do. And he proceeds to give them an oath to stand by, and made them Honorary Game Wardens (okay thats not the real name, but I cant think of it right now)..They got Certificates, a sticker and a great memory!
We head back down and take it slowly now, I knew this was the biggest challenge and it was now over. We did the safari, and the animals were all out. From here on out we relaxed in this park. We made our way around the park, enjoying everything. We saw a ton of characters, went on all the rides etc.. Heres a list of what we accomplished. Some more than once:

We went from the park to the Rainforest Café we were early. We got there Id guess about 5:30, and our PS was for 6:00 I had vouchers for this meal, I found them on The Dis from someone who had come back with extras. We ate, ate, ate, and ate some more.! The server was more than happy to add stuff to our voucher bill, and he was repaid with more than just the voucher tip. Even with the extra tip I gave him, we saved almost $90.00 by using the vouchers! (we had 2 adult vouchers, thats it)
We were back in our room by 8:30, and the kids crashed. Placed the other DD by the phone, pushed the button again, and to bed we all went by 9:30
