Verizon Wireless upgrade ?

Hello all-knowing Dissers!

I gave my DD 14 my upgrade eligibility a few months back and now I'm using hers to upgrade to a Blackberry. My question is, in the past we have always gotten similar phones and just activated then deactivated etc with no problems/changes to the plans. This time, since I am upgrading to a Blackberry I would prefer to just activate it on my number and not involving hers at all. Is this possible?

Yes, my husband and I have done it several times. His phone broke once and I had an upgrade available, so we switched. We just keep using each other's upgrade. I got a Droid in April....on his upgrade....with no problem. Just have it activated to your number.

Yes. We have done it many times, too. We have four phones on our plan and could use any one of the upgrades for someone else's phone.

Ok thanks. So how would I do that? I usually do it online. Do I just do it as an EIN change? I guess I would change my plan at that time to the Blackberry plan? Would there be any issue because when I ordered the Blackberry under her number I had to agree to the changes to the plan?

Like others have said you can upgrade. Just be prepared to buy a Data Plan If you don't currently have one.

We are a business Verizon customer with roughly 75 lines and thats what I do. You CAN do it online, although sometimes it gets iffy.

Do an ESN change and change your plan. Then, call back and change your daughters plan back to a non-Blackberry plan. Do it all the time.

Are you sure you want a Blackberry? Personally I would go with a Droid instead. We have both here and the Droid is HANDS DOWN better then a Blackberry. Unfortunately the Blackberry is mine and I really, really, really would prefer a Droid but can't because my work stuff doesn't support the Droid.
