However, I have been ALL over the site and cannot find where the link is to opt-out? Of course it's likely not easy to find or maybe its just been a long long week

Can someone please tell me where to find it? TIA.

A local restaurant is on there. Every time we go in we "buy" the same coupon. So you should be able to get it again. (I don't care what they do with my information. I appreciate discounts anywhere I can get them.)

Really? I am soooooooo aggrevated with myself for doing this. Its not the $5 lost, or the 500 points lost at all, its just a coupon that I really have been looking for and can not find and I found one and let it slip through my hands!

Did a search to see if this had been discussed before I posted a question, and found this thread.

I was so excited to see I had thousands of points, only to find the 'deals' not really that great.

Or am I missing something?

You are correct in that the rewards are not that great and can typically found via online promo codes from coupon websites. The big issue I have with Verizon Rewards and why I refuse to sign on to it, is that you loose a lot of your privacy, not to mention the increased ads you'll get when browsing the internet. It is not worth the "deals" they have, which can usually be found without giving Verizon
retailer partners a key to your privacy. Read this article by Time Magazine for more info.
