Verizon TravelPass

Has anyone used this in the Bahamas? Our cruise is this coming Wed the 21st. Traveling with DW, DD21 and DS18. The kids are big uses of their phones. The usual- texting, facebook, etc. I'm curious if Verizon's TravelPass works in Nassau or on CC. I'm debating which way I should go. TravelPass or use Disney's Connect @ Sea? Any suggestions?

TravelPass won't work on the ship. You have to use Connect@Sea then. However, TravelPass will work in the Bahamas.

We just used Travelpass on Castaway Cay last month. It worked great! We texted, emailed, used social media, and made phone calls. No issues at all. A tip: I asked Verizon to email the setup/activation instructions to me and it was super easy to activate once on the island.

No cell towers in the ocean. Connect@Sea uses satellite technology.

Has anyone tried having one line on TravelPass and tethering wifi off that line for the rest of the family? I don't plan on spending a whole lot of time phubbing my family on my phone while I'm on the cruise, but might be good to take just a few minutes to upload some pics from Castaway Cay on FB to rub it in my friends' timelines in real time
