Has anyone had a trouble with their Env2 or a touch screen(cannot remember name, uggg) phones? My son have one and DH has to other. Both of their screens have something wrong with them. It first started out like a leaf shaped black spot on DH's touch and now the Env2 from screen is completely black and the front of DH's screen has several "leaf" markes and many, many lines so that the front screen cannot be read.

I find it odd that this has happened to both phones. Does anyone have any insight or ideas how to handle this. Only DS's phone has a replacement insurance...but it costs $50 deductable.

have you called Verizon? There may be a recall on the phones and if that is the case, they will fix or replace them with no OOP. My son and I both have the Samnsung Glide I think it is and we were going nuts! It would take me 15 plus attempts to get my phone to call out, it is touch screen and I would touch call and it would go to menu or contacts or whatever it felt like going to. After a few months of getting mad, I called and they said there was 17 recalls on the phone. I took them into a verizon and they ordered us new updated ones which we got and they work much better. GL

DD has the EnV and I have the Voyager which is a touch screen and neither of us has ever had that problem, guess I would call Verizon and see what they say. You might also want to ask this same question in the forums on the Verizon website, I'm guessing someone would have a helpful answer since a lot of techies tend to post there.

if its less than a yr old sicne you've had it, then you can return it and its covered under warranty..

go to Any VZW corporate store..

I have the EnV2 and had the exact same issue with my screen. The screen would go all wonky with squiggly lines. When I called Verizon, they told me that is was probably because I needed a software upgrade (free at the store). So I went to the store and left my phone while they upgraded it, it took about an hour. Once I got it back, I was checking my texts and the screen did the same thing. I showed the techs at the store and they replaced the phone right there.

I did get the phone in June, and it was still under its one year warranty. I do hope that you'll be able to get yours replaced!

My DD is on her 2nd one in 6 months! She hates it. She tried getting a different phone the 1st time and they told her they could only replace with the same phone. Well now, 3 months later..same problems again. Screen goes black, screen freezes up, phone shuts off.. you name it, it happens! She is stuck in with this phone now, she cannot afford another!!!! :headache: She doesn't want to pay another $50 to have it swapped out either, that would make a total of $100 in 6 months :headache: She is trying to deal with it. I told her to just dump verizon and let them charge her the early termination fee. It would be cheaper in the long run by the way she has to replace the darn phone. She can come on my plan for only $20 as opposed to paying nearly $100 for her own plan

They would not take my DD's back under warranty.. they had her pay the $50 thru the insurance :confused3 her phone was 3 months old the first time it was replaced. It was Alltel when she bought it, then they switched to Verizon, that might be why??? the week she went to return it is the week they were switching over

did you talk with a manager.. that is BS.. they needed to replace it..

A DD is on her 3rd ENV2 since December.
One more time and she gets to pick out any phone she wants-or something like that. We didn't purchase insurance. We just told them a phone should last longer than a couple of months and they replaced it each time.
I'm still using the same phone I've had for four years. It's a dinosaur, but works great. I think the newer, lower priced phones are pretty much disposable.

yes! This happened to my phone, I thought I dropped it and the screen cracked. I have to text or read texts with the phone shut. Real PITA! I did not buy the warranty coverage, so I am basically SOL.
