The killer feature of that app is that it has wait pass and Fastpass return times integrated with the actual information from Disney. That has the potential for by far the most accurate wait times compared to several of the iPhone apps that are out there. I wonder if there's a way for any of the developers of any iPhone apps to be able to integrate that information? My guess is probably not, unfortunately.

Per a blog on another website mid November is the release and it iw $9.99 for 6 months.

As a Verizon Blackberry owner, I am excited about this app!

I would guess not as well. I am sure Disney has some sort of exclusive deal with Verizon that will not allow the apple folks to utilize the technology for awhile.

I'm hoping this works on my LG Dare. An app for each of my devices, phone and iPod Touch.

I'd expect it to work on most all at least current Verizon phones. Whether Verizon limits the phones it works on is another matter. They have been forcing customers who simply want a new phone that doesn't really do more than the previous generation to get new more expensive plans. I actually got the excuse when my wife wanted to get an enV3 that because it has an "HTML browser", we had to upgrade to a new per-MB data plan. Uhh...I have an enV, which has the same browser, with which I can read my OWN web site perfectly fine, and we didn't need to upgrade at all...plus, they couldn't tell me how many MB I use per month, because we currently pay per minute.

Verizon has in general forced all phone manufacturers (up to this point) to use a programming platform called BREW, which is different than pretty much everyone else. This often limited the apps you could get.

Droid may change that...

But I'm not eligible for a new phone until June. And I still don't know if I want an iPhone. I still have hopes the FCC forces non company exclusive phones.

The LG Dare is current enough (*)...I was only referring to Droid in terms of a platform that might allow more and better applications - like E-ticket (nudge nudge...)

* Disclaimer - who knows what Verizon will require...

I agree, this is what has me excited about this app. It will have the actual Disney info, including whether or not there are any fastpasses left. Who hasn't been burned in the early afternoon by trudging over to space mountain etc. to get a fastpass only to find they are all gone for the day. This app would be a life saver.

As a verizon blackberry owner, I hope Disney does this right.

Yes, I seem to remember that Disney has some arrangement with Verizon.

A little ironic, considering that Steve Jobs is Disney's largest shareholder. You think he'd have the inside track on getting something for the iPhone!

Not yet...supposedly some time this month.

Wish they would have had this last month when we were there. As a Verizon Customer I am glad. I would like to have an iPhone and E-Ticket but Verizon is the only carrier that offers decent service in my area.

I thought I was all set to get the Storm 2 when I am able to upgrade at the end of the month, but, now I hear all this stuff about the Droid and Eris. I am just looking for internet/phone/basic... not using it for work or heavy emailing. Does anyone know what the deal is with the Droid and if it's a better alternative to the Blackberry?

this website has all the "gossip" about phones that run android, and the new Motorola Droid coming out. I personally am addicted to my blackberry because i like being able to press the keys instead of touchscreen; that being said I would have no problem stealing and using my sister's iPhone as my own.

Thanks for the link, I'm still confused on which one to get. My husband is trying to convince me to take his blackberry curve and he'll get the new upgraded phone, yeah right....
