Really both phones are great. DH and I have iphone 4's with Verizon. DS has the Droid Incredible. He prefers his phone to our iphones. I admit that if you are a techy type person, you may prefer the Droid Incredible or HTC Thunderbolt over the iphone, because of things like the Androids support flash from websites, and the way you can totally customize your phone.
I however am not a tech person. I like the fact that the iphone looks EXACTLY like my ipad and ipod touch. It's very familiar to me and I like that. I knew exactly how to use it right out of the box. I have no interest in learning a new phone and really don't care how awesome it may be. Of course, that's just me.
One thing that I notice with the iphone 4 from Verizon (not sure about AT&T) is that if you are on safari, or the internet in general, and get a call, you get bumped off the internet when you take the call. On my son's Droid Incredible, he can take/end a call and then go right back to websurfing, etc. It doesn't really matter to me, but it may for some people.
Also, to the person that complained about their battery life with the Droids, there are apps you can download that conserve your battery life and you can get more than one. The guy at Best Buy when we bought our son's phone installed them for him. I remember one is called "juice defender" but I forget the others.
