Friday 8th August.
Im not sure what time we were up this morning, but it says here in my notes that we had breakfast in our room, Mickey waffles with bacon and sausage!
We werent sure what our plans were for today, it was grey and looking like rain, but we decided to go to AK anyway.
We were in AK for 10am, parking in Dinosaur 37. We headed straight to Lion King which wanted to see before the rest of the crowds. We got straight in to a half filled show. Evie absolutely loved it and even now growls like a lion like in that Lion King show we saw. When we came out the show, it was soaking wet everywhere, apparently we had missed a downpour! Anyway, it was now lovely and cool as we headed for lunch. I really wanted to try Yak and Yeti (counter service) so we headed there. It was ok, nothing special, but nice enough.
After lunch we went on the trail to see the tigers and bats, then the safari which was great as ever. Evie really wasnt too happy, so we did a little shopping (bribery!) and watched everyone getting SOAKED on kali river rapids before heading back to the car. Evie was obviously shattered as she was asleep straight away in the car. So we nipped to Walgreens for juice, baby wipes and honey roasted nuts!!
We chilled in the room for a while before getting changed for our Family Photoshoot at the Grand Floridian. We arrived at the GF and had to go to the 1st floor. As we made our way through, we marvelled at how beautiful this hotel is, WOW!
A storm was on the way, so we asked to have our outdoor photos done ASAP before the rain came. The shoot was great fun and we got some great family shots, and some beautiful ones of Evie on her own which I will share once the CD comes through. As predicted a huge storm came, so we sheltered in the hotel for a while, before giving up and getting very wet on the way to the car.
We werent sure what to do for dinner, so we took a drive along the 192 where I saw a Logans Roadhouse. My brother had raved about this place so we decided to give it a try. It was just fab!

The bread was to die for
and the steaks, nearly as good. There were peanuts everywhere that you shelled and threw on the floor, great music too. Give this place a chance if you can, just great!
We were in bed for ten, very tired and happy after another fab day!
Tomorrow: DTD, Ohana, Hollywood Studios.
