Wednesday 13th August.
We were meant to get up early to drive to the beach today, but again managed to sleep till 10am, ooops!
We must have been been shopping the day before because it says here we had Krispie Kreme doughnuts and chocolate milk for breakfast that morning, very naughty!!
After humming and harring about what to do, we decided to carry on with our trip to the beach, it was very grey, but never mind. Simon has always wanted to go to Daytona Beach, I hadnt read very good things about it, but we went for it anyway!
We had a pleasant drive up, listening to my favourite station K92FM all the ay there. We arrived around lunchtime and parked up, a nice lady from a local hairdressers came over to us and told us a better spot to park, where there were restrooms, so we headed up there, which was great.
On the beach we grabbed some sunbeds, it was very windy but we werent to be put off! We had a fun afternoon even though a storm kept threatening to come. Evie loved playing in the sand and in the sea and I enjoyed relaxing with my book. Simon was thrilled because he got a Reeces icecream!! We stayed till late afternoon and escaped just as the rain began. We had a lovely day on the beach, but Daytona wasnt the nicest place Ive ever been to. Sorry any Daytona fans out there!
When we were back in Orlando we showered and dressed and went over to CrossRoads for some dinner. Simon really wanted some buffalo wings so was thrilled to find a wings place for us to eat (Buffalo Wild Wings??) We had a great meal here, some boneless buffalo wings, fries and onion wings to share, it was delicious!
We were heading back to the room for the night when I decided we should have a drink in Scat Cats as we hadnt ventured there yet. It turned out to not be a quick drink, but several long drinks!! We had such a great time. I had my favourite Glowtini and a few Baileys (maybe they were doubles!!). Elliott Dyson the entertainer is amazing! He plays so many instruments and sang a song all about Evie which was a really memorable part of our holiday.
Tomorrow: EPCOT, yet again!!
