Day 8.
We get up at 9am, and are determined to stick to our plan even though we arrived so late last night, so it's straight over to Universal. We get in pretty quickly (after getting "told off" by a security guard for wearing a Mickey Mouse" top!!). We head straight over to the new Mummy ride. I had to do this straight away otherwise I might have chickened out!!! After a 40 minute wait we get on and it is really good fun!!! Not too scary at all. We then stroll round to MIB to get our express passes for later in the afternoon. Next we get on ET before lunch. I love this ride, it makes me feel like a little kid again. We eat lunch at the restaurant near BttF, can't remember what it's called. I have the chicken pasta, which I ALWAYs have in Universal!!! We then feel brave enough to queue for SHREK 4D. Can't remember quite how long we queued but it was well over an hour. When we got in I remembered why it is worth the wait. The ride is just so fantastic, I love it!! It's def one of my fave rides in Orlando. Simon wants to buy a donkey from the SHREK shop, but I remind him of all the pin badges he is going to buy in Disney!!!We then go on Jaws, resisting Funnel cake on the way and the MIB, which is Si's favourite ride at Universal. He takes the shooting VERY seriously and makes me laugh at him!!! Time is ticking on and we are feeling rather weary after the previous days delays. We go on TWISTER, only to come out to rain. At this point we can bearly stand up any longer so decide to call it a day and head over to "Bill Wong's Famous buffet" on I DRIVE. This is another of our traditions! We sit at our "usual" table. Haha. Lovely food. It feels so great to be in Orlando, so familiar. My parents discovered this restaurant the first trip we ever made to Orlando 15 years ago and we always go there, fond memories. We brave the I ride back and collapse into bed pretty early. Ready for MGM next day.
