Verandah view with Fireworks best and worst staterooms

Trying to find out which staterooms with verandah's would have great views with fireworks. I saw on posts that starboard side is pretty great to have. Then I saw reviews saying some members received a warning to not be on their verandah when they go off, but they didn't mention which rooms. I'm mainly curious right now for the Disney Wonder, but we can definitely open up the thread for all ships!

Know that while most shows are fired starboard, they can switch to port on any given night to accommodate wind direction. Last year, we had two shows on our NYE cruise and they were each fired from a different side.

The staterooms who’s verandahs should be vacated and without objects are located mid to aft of the ship, since the fireworks are shot from the second funnel and toward the back of the ship.

We just booked the middle aft stateroom for the NYE Cruise this coming year - 8188 Dream. That way we can watch from our balcony we hope :)

Fireworks are shot pretty close to the ship. My DH was on our 8630 verandah and could see well enough he said, but not all of it, as it was too straight up. He missed part of it due to the overhang from deck 11.

Was it possible to hear the music that accompanies the fireworks from there?

We were in 7152 this past Feb and the fireworks were literally right in front of us! I have no idea why we didn't get the letter to not be on our veranda, but we sat out there and enjoyed-what felt like a personal show. This was for the Star Wars fireworks by the way, we watched the Pirate fw from deck 12. We could hear the music fairly well too.

Slightly expanding the topic, is it possible on MAGIC / WONDER, to leave PALO onto the aft area of deck 10 ? We've never had PALO dinner on Pirate night, but I booked it at 8:30 on our upcoming B2B from San Juan on the WONDER. It would be great to just step out on what's usually a fairly quiet deck area.
Thanks !

No, that outside deck is closed during the fireworks and for a short time after as they make sure the deck is clear. However, if you have a window seat at Palo, and are on the correct side of the ship, you can see the fireworks. They are somewhat cut off because of the ceiling.

Technically you are not supposed to leave any items on the verandas regardless of fireworks.

So does that mean that u can't leave Palo during a certain time frame because they blocked you in preparation for fireworks? Or is there an alternative exit you can go through to leave Palo to go to some other area of the ship? I was thinking about booking Palo during pirate night as well.

You go out the main entrance and down the elevator or stairs (interior of the ship) from there.

You just use the stairs or elevator. As you go out of the restaurant, there will actually be a crewmember stationed at that door to make sure you don’t go outside.

We are in 8516 on Magic later this month.

Does anyone know if we will be able to see fireworks from our veranda?
