I feel like I know you, Barb, Rae, and others! You're in our prayers. Any news on your surgery? Please let us know, as we can all pray for you then.

Also, hope that your wife and family are doing as well as can be expected following the loss of her brother.

Your positiveness and giving nature shines to all of us who read these boards.

I will give you a quick update. My DW and her family are still coming to grips with the loss, but each day it seems to be getting better.

Thanks for asking, I will have knee surgery on May 4th. The MRI revealed two tears in my cartilage, sclerosis forming in the medial compartment, and a ruptured popliteal cyst. I had to leave work this past Thursday because the pain was so severe in my knee that I could hardly walk, and since I read water meters for a living, I do a great deal of walking, bending, and climbing stairs. I will hopefully be back to work by the beginning of June, and be ready for our next cruise in August!!! I surely do appreciate everyone's good thoughts, words of concern, and prayers, at this time!!!

You and your family hurt, therefore, we hurt. I hope your knee will be mended soon, and I hope you and your wife and her family recieve all of the comfort that they need at this time. People like you really do make the world a happier place to live in.

I agree with Muushka 110%!

May 4th will be here before you know it. Hope you have a speedy recovery.

Prayers and Pixie dust to you, Andy, for no pain and a successful surgery!

 Continued prayers for your family Andy. It is very tough and I feel their pain. Hopefully time and knowing he is in a better place will help their emptiness and loss.

Will also pray for a successful surgery on your knee Andy. Healing will require time and patience my friend, but with your outlook and faith, you can do it. They'll have you feeling good as new and ready for your crusie before you know it!! My prayers and thoughts are with you. Please let us know if we can help in any way.

God Bless ^i^

Andy - I am sorry to hear that you are in so much pain - and your wife is having her own pain (the loss)

Prayers for your family and extra ones on May 4th -

Andy It breaks my heart to hear about your sorrows. You are such a wonderful person it doesn't seem fair for you to expierence so much pain. :( You are in my prayers.

Thanks for the update Andy. Grieving does not go away over night, in fact, the loss is with you to some degree for always. Wishing you all the good memories of your wife's brother as you continue to love him for always and forever.

Really sorry to hear about the pain. Know it must be difficult both physically and then mentally to leave your work. I know all on this board and myself are glad to know your surgery date, as we can keep you in our prayers.

Hey, if you can, eat some good Chinese food the night before your surgery. That always calms the nerves. And, hopefully your surgery is early in the a.m. so you do not have much of a wait.

Dh has had knee surgery (though not to your extent) many years ago. He'd be happy to "chat" with you about it if you you'd ever like to.

Best wishes and prayers,

Barbara & family

Actually Barb, this is my "sixth" knee operation over the years, I guess you could say, I'm an old pro at this knee surgery stuff, LOL!!! The last knee operation was a partial knee replacement to my left knee three years ago. I guess my right knee got a little jealous!!!

LOL, Andy. Unfortunately, you are a pro at these surgeries. Must be a hazzard of your profession. Well, the good thing is, you'll be up and walking for your cruise in August!

Take care, and best wishes!

Barbara

I still have six more years to go from this Tuesday before I can retire and collect my full pension.

Andy,
Prayers and hugs:grouphug: for you and your family on your loss. And good luck with the knee surgery. I have had 2 arthroscopies and as a physical therapist see folks pre and post op with knee surgery every day. My own 2 arthroscopies went well and now it looks as if I may need another.
Keep smiling and laughing. At least posting on these boards doesn't require using your knee!

Not that you are counting or anything, Andy, LOL. :teeth:

Hope that knee is better real soon, my best on your surgery. Maybe that is what I need.

This looks like a cruise group here. :)

Andy - good luck with the knee operation
