Looking at booking a Cat 4 room, there are only 4 of us, but I want the murphy bed for me, DH is a bed hog! If the murphy bed is down, can you get out on the verandah? I don't mind climbing over it, cramming myself in the space between the bed and the door, etc. just as long as I can get out there in the evenings to sit and listen to the ocean. I know having the murphy bed down makes it difficult, but does it make it impossible? If so we'll save some $ and book a cat 5 instead.

The doors to the veranda are sliders, so you can get to it with the murphy bed down, you just have to crawl over it.

If your ocean-listening is early evening and you have second-seating dining, it should be no problem, because the murphy bed won't be pulled down until evening turndown while you are at dinner. If you want to be out on the veranda in late evening, then as others have said, it will still be possible because the verandah door moves sideways to open.
