I am trying to book a 4 night cruise in July and wanted connecting cat 9 rooms. There are no more connecting rooms in this cat. It will be my DH and me along with our 4 children 3yrs to 11yrs. This may seem crazy to all you seasoned cruisers, but.....do you worry about your little ones on the veranda? I read somewhere that if you thought the kids would climb on the furniture the staff would remove it. My kids do mind well, but they are kids. If I could get connecting rooms with a veranda do you think I will like it? Do you have any more suggestions for a family of 6? Thanks
We also have two little ones and even though their is a good safety lock on the door to the outside- I would still keep an eye on the kids because you just never know what could happen.
Good time!
Also, the kids were NEVER out there without us and they knew there would be dire consequences if they even looked at the furniture..
But that being said, you need to do what you are comfortable with. You know your children's tendencies best. We were always aware of the verandah and where our children were in relationship to it. But quite frankly, we weren't in the room that much for our concern to become intrusive on a wonderful vacation. But we thoroughly enjoyed the verandah. DH and I used it before the kids woke up and when they were napping. We would also let them come out with us, but actually, they got pretty bored very quickly-- there's usually nothing to look at but water!
