Vera Bradley bags - What do you like about them?

Oh I love it! I want that style in every color lol! I love how roomy it is, and you can zip it all the way down, so nothing gets lost in a black hole at the bottom of the purse!

Plus, the style is pretty trendy. I also love the new Stephanie style. Did you see the three new colors they just added this week? I am in love with all three.

The first time I saw a VB purse, my mother showed me hers. I said "Oh that's nice." But truthfully I thought it was something she had bought at a craft show.

Then I started seeing them more around our area and started looking at the different prints. I love Botanica (now retired) and have several different styles in this print. I have never paid full price for a single piece, bought all of them on Ebay. I got a laptop case and travel organizer for under $30 for the two pieces.

My sister went to the VB sale and got me a tech case and a mini hipster for under $25 for both. She didn't find anything in Botanica at the sale, but got them in the Cambridge pattern. At first I had the same thought as when I saw my mom's purse. But the more I use it, the more I like it. I still love Botanica and seem drawn to material with the same type of print.

I had picked out some material for my sister to make me a duffel bag and when I got the finished product, I happened to put it next to my laptop case and they could pass for being part of a set.

But I don't like the strap drop. I love how it opens so wide and the pockets are perfect. I've recently discovered the saddle up, which is approximately the same size as the bowler as far as space and pockets go. Only, it has a long strap so that you can wear it crossbody.

To me, it is. It feels like i'm almost carrying it in my armpit. I have a hard time keeping it on my shoulder when I'm wearing a jacket. I'm a very picky vera fan though. I'm all about crossbdy and long straps. The bowler itself is one of my ver favorite styles. i work as an extra on Friday Night Lights and the size of the bag was perfect for carrying everything i needed and staying organized on the set.

I'll use it sometimes, but not as much as other bags. Comfort is a big deal for me and I cannot stand a strap falling off my shoulder. It just doesn't feel comfortable to me. But again, that's just me. I'm REALLY picky with my bags. A lot of people too, enjoy holding their Bowlers as a handbag and i do that sometimes, but right now, I'm enjoying the hands free cross body look and feel of my saddle Up. Like I said the bowler is an awesome bag. I love how organized it is and i love the size, I love the gussetted side that allow you to open the bag wide to get to your stuff. It's just the whole strap thing that gets me. You might not have a problem with it at all. the Bowler is one of the most populsr Vera styles out there.

I'm sure you have some bags and clothes that we think are ugly too!
That's why we have so many styles and colors of bags, clothes etc to choose from. One style DOES NOT fit all.

I used to be a Coach girl but now I'm a Vera girl. A few years ago I wouldn't have been caught dead with one but now I have several and a ton of the accessories. It started with the zip around wallet. The best wallet I have every owned!
I love their sale section on the website and am waiting for the late fall/early winter sale. Last year was fantastic!!

I have been checking on the Coliseum's website for the fall sale. I can't remember what month it was in last year. So far they only Vera show on their schedule is the spring one. Which, by the way, is April 28th thru May 2nd.

The fall sale in FTW last year, was the first time they held it here. In previous years it was in Atlanta, but with trucking charges and fuel surcharges, it was going to be big bucks to haul product down there. It could be that it's cheaper this year and are doing the sale down there again?

I have to say again that Vera is about fun for me. Its not my everyday or all teh time bag. its fun to get new colors and styles.
I do use the accessories every day. the small tech case is perfect for my ipod touch. and like I said before I love the french wallet.

Vera is part of your purse collection, not your entire purse collection.

I carry the tote as a purse...love a big bag with long straps. the new imperial toile is really pretty and the pink accents are great.
