I do not own a VB bag. They are soooo loud but I am obsessed with them. I want to own one just to see what they are like. All the midwestern NYC tourists wear VB bags in Times Square. Why do you like them? What makes them special TO YOU? Which colors are you most attracted to?

I would NEVER have one. I am right there with you... WAY too loud!

I do however really like the new "contemporary" looking all black VB bags. They still have that "quilt" look in the stitching, but they are all black microfiber. :thumbsup2

I love the colors, the style and the functionality of it. I love all the pockets and different nooks to put things in. I don't lose my stuff anymore and I just love the way they look.

ok thia ia FREAKY - I have the VB site up right now & just asked a friend about them on FaceBook....that's just strange!

I actually think they are HIDEOUS! :thumbsup2 my mom has some pieces = makeup bag/eye class case, etc

BUT my dd wants one...the girls @ her school carrythem.

I think they look like grandma quilt.....

The only ones I've like are the hotpink ones - right now on her site there are some patterns on sale - so I'm thinking of getting a Christmas purchase out of the way....

Sorry I didn't anwer your question...

I personally think they're awful. The colors don't bother me, it's the quilt style. Maybe it's because I'm in my 20's.
They're often the prizes given away at our local Bingo halls.

What do I like about Vera Bradley bags...... NOTHING! I know one person that says she likes them because they are washable. I don't need a washable bag!

I don't get the appeal of them at all, very 'granny', but my nieces LOVE them!

I think they're really cute bags. They seem to hold up for people I know who have them. They're really popular at my school.

Personally, my favorites are the animal prints, like Pink Elephants and Sitting in a Tree.

My mom carries them and my friend from Indiana adores them.

I don't like them at all but they seem to be all the rage.

I had one a couple of years ago when they were in style here. They're not anymore. When I was using mine back then I liked it because I thought it was cute and I liked that I could throw it in the washing machine. I was 27 when I had mine and never thought it looked like a granny. The only people I saw carrying them were younger ladies :confused3

I can't stand them, they look like something my mom or grandmother would have made for me in junior high and I would have been embarrassed to carry it to school.

I have a few and I really like them. I use them as little punches of color with my wardrobe. I dress very simple so I like to have a bag that isn't plain. I have a few travel pieces and they are very well made, and they don't look like everybody elses black or blue bags. Dd has a messenger, a tote and a lunch bag for school. She is one of the few that have them but she does have the *younger* looking prints. She doesn't really like the prints that I do. Anyway, I can't really explain it, I just like them :)
What I don't like is the trend to have bags that are the size of suitcases, or bags with huge silver buckles on them, or bags that have some designers initials all over it.

we are slow getting styles around here - so what's the style near you now Angel? Maybe I should start the new trend here before everyone else - :lmao:

For us, DD uses one when she sleeps over. I don't have to worry about it getting dirty, I can just toss it in the washer.

The super tote works wonderful for all of her dance shoes. More girls have these at the dance studio then those who don't.

She is getting the garment bag for christmas. With the more outfits she has for dance, she needed something better than the cheap plastic one she has. And when you can get the $130.00 bag on sale at the huge VB sale in the spring for $23.00, you learn to like VB.

We both have a wallet and coin purse. For me, it's not my every day wallet, but what I put money and an ID in when I'm not going to be carrying my purse and I need it to be small enough to go into my pocket, camera bag, beach bag, or bag at Disney.

For us, it's not so much either of us love VB, but the price we can pay for it during the spring sale, we have found colors that we can live with. Just got an e-mail to day, that they have the Bowler bag on sale for $28.00, in selected colors for 2 days. The color DD likes and her friend likes are on sale. I think I know what DD is going to be getting her friend for her birthday, as she loves DD's bowler bag.

I got that email too which was the inspiration for this thread! I almost jumped on the deal but am on the fence.

The bowler bag is the very first bag I got DD. The color she has it in is retired, but she loves the Pinwheel pink. Most of her other items are in the Pinwheel pink. I'm trying to make up my mind, if I am going to get her another on in this color or not.

Also thinking about getting me one in the Mediterranean white. If the purple punch was on sale, there would be no thinking...I would have already bought it.

I like VB bags. I have several smaloler ones. I think they are well made. I really do not like many of the patterns. They are rather loud. I like using them as handbags because I love the softness and lightness of them. The pockets inside are wonderful for keeping things organized.
I recently came across Bella Taylor handbags. Some of their patterns are wild but they have many that I love. There are many styles and they are cheaper then VB. http://www.squidoo.com/bellataylor

I have several Vera Bradley handbags. I really love how well organized they are--lots of little pockets and zippered compartments to keep stuff organized in my purse.

Some of the patterns are too busy for me, but some of them are right up my alley. I typically love their patterns that benefit breast cancer research like Pinwheel Pink and Pink Elephants.

I also just bought a Vera Bradley makeup bag since my current cheapo makeup bag had gotten really dingy looking. It's in the Puccini pattern, which I like. I also really like Java Blue (I have the bowler style in that color), and I like the Imperial Toile too (I don't have anything in that pattern yet).

I also just got the agenda in the Pirouette pattern. I've just started using it, but I like it so far. It's a little bit big compared to what I'm used to, but it seems well organized.
