In addition to my addiction of all things Disney, I am also addicted to Vera Bradley bags. If you haven't heard of these before, she has a website and you can also find her stuff on eBay. Anyway, to get to my point, with my cruise coming up in a few months, I am beginning to find reasons to buy new bags for the trip. I already have a case for my laptop and my digital camera. Also thinking about purchasing a little travel case for toiletries, a travel organizer to hold my ID, passport and tickets. And I even want to bring some DVD's...so I want to buy a CD/DVD case to put them in.

Anyone else addicted to anything other than Disney? How about Vera Bradley? I know I can't be the only one. DH hates her stuff...says it must be a girl thing :)

i'm a big vera bradley fan. getting all the accessories can be quite addicting & a huge budget buster! lol. i definitely suggest ebay for items as well. you can usually find great discounts on things there, just make sure you purchase through a reputable seller!

one great travel accessory that i suggest is the hanging organizer. it comes with me on every trip & is so useful! just hook it to the back of the bathroom door for easy access to all your toiletries.

I'm still going through withdrawal since they retired my Bermuda colors...

Ebay is the way I'm going with these...

That said... I had to get a case for traveling for my ipod and my camera accessories and the small cosmetic is working out really good for that.

I also got the other cosmetic - but in a different pattern since I need it this week and can't wait for something to ship in one of the Navy patterns...

I'm thinking of using my zip Id case attached to a lanyard to keep my cards and stuff in...

Oh boy. Don't get me started. I made my first VB purchase ever in anticipation of my ucoming trip. The Travel Organizer in Capri Melon, to hold my passport and docs. I now have curling iron covers, the small and large cosmetic bags, a jewelry case, ditty bags, travel bags, wristlet, purse, straw tote, luggage tages, paperback covers, checkbook cover, coin/id purse, large duffle... I think there's a bunch more little stuff, but I can't remember right now. They recently announced my color is retiring, so I'm hoping to pick up a few more items at a discount. I keep searching ebay for the matching Take Note Tote to keep my navigators neat and organized. I actually have her website open as well as ebay searching right now.

I also have a few different patterns, but I love the Capri Melon.

:goodvibes Hello my name is Amy... and I am adicted to Capri Melon... :goodvibes

I see you're on the WB??? I'm booked also - hoping for final payment soon... maybe we can get together and have a drink in honor of Vera...

Since this isn't specific to cruising I'm going to move it to the community board.

Good news! The spring '08 colors are now out! You can buy all kinds of wonderful things for your trip! I suggest a satchel as a carry on and a Vera for taking stuff to the pool. Oh, and how about a backpack for those shore excursions! I'm not sure which I love more- Disney or Vera Bradley bags!
My 2 teenaged daughters are into Vera too - imagine my DH's joy!

Enjoy your trip AND your Vera shopping!

Vera Bradley addict checking in here!

I love Peacock, Java Blue and the Mod Pink. The only one I don't have an actual Bag in is Mod Pink. I just have the accessories in that one (make up bag, checkbook cover and change purse). I want a sunglass case!! I make a list of what I want and pick holidays for DH and the kids...Valentines day in Feb, Easter in March, My B-day in April, Mother's day in May... there has to be a holiday in June that will qualify for a VB gift!!! :lmao:

In the last year I became addicted to Coach. I've bought more bags in one year that I've done in the previous 5 years!

I just starting buying Vera Bradley bags all on EBAY. I got a very cute traveler organizer at a good price. I bought the bowling bag style but don't think it will work for me so I'm still searching for more. :)

Dh surprised me with the complete line of Vera for my B'day, X-Mas combination gifts. He chose the pattern (the floral blue). Good thing I love it because he bought every piece imaginable. I love the cosmetic bag it's nice and large and the travel case it keeps everything separated. I also love the checkbook cover, who am I kidding I love every piece he bought me! What a Gift! I can't wait until summer so I can use my beach bag.

Vera Bradley and Coach...I have a purse addiction.

Funny you should mention a cruise. All of my bags, but the diaper bag, are the result of needing a new one for a cruise! Well the bags are, not the purses!

I love them! I have been feeling the need lately but will hold off for a little while. I only have bags, purses and wallets so far. I wanted to get a little tolietrie bag to use for my wallet stuff to just throw in DS's diaper bag.

I love my Vera Bradley bags. Mine are Bermuda pink, so I can only find them on Ebay now since it's discontinued. I have the large and small duffel, large and small cosmetic bag and jewelry case. I only use them on road trips. I don't want to check them on an airplane b/c I'm afraid they'd get too dirty.

Ohhhh, yeah....BIG Vera Bradley fan here! I got my first for Christmas, a messenger in the Mod Floral Pink. Tomorrow I'm going to go get another one...the store here is owned by her sister, which is really cool...it's all they sell (and it's a BIG store).

I agree. I'm also afraid there's a possibility that they could get wet, which means some of my clothes would get wet as well.

I was in the store the other day and one woman was commenting about how they are so well made...

They are designed by WOMEN - that's why!!!

Another huge VB fan here. I do lots of xstitching and knitting and have lots of projects going on at the same time. Every one is in a different VB bag. Then, of course there are the ones I use for their intended purposes. Can't have too many!

Have any of you gone to the big sale they have in the spring in Fort Wayne? I missed last year due to work but went the 2 previous years. They have it in the Memorial Colesium and the lines to get in stretch and wind through the place!!! When you finally get in people are handed a huge bag (picture black garbage bag size) to fill up, tables are pretty well organized and by the time I get in there are women sitting around on the floor on the edges sorting through everything they grabbed in their mad dash. It's totally mind blowing :scared1: Then the trading starts with people walking around looking for something specific. The sorters on the floor rethink 1/2 the stuff they grabbed and what they don't want they toss in shopping carts or big laundry carts. Then these get mobbed by the latecomers that can't find exactly what they want. Then the poor sorters that work the sale try to take the carts out of site to organize and restock the items.

They set a dollar limit as to how much you can buy because they want to avoid resale on Ebay. But of course when you see a person walk out ahead of you that literally has 13 bags and a couple of boxes on a wheeled cart you can bet they are going to resell the stuff. I have sold a few things but only things I have had left after using most of gifts.

Vera has a new building in Fort Wayne just off I69 across from the GM Plant, so if you're driving south it will be on your right.

This year's sale will be April 30-May 3rd. Hope I see you there! :yay:

I plan on going this year!

I am originally from Indiana, but now live in Michigan. My dad still lives in Indiana (Kokomo), so Ft Wayne is on the way. I have seen the new Vera Bradley building. I got so excited the first time I saw it, I practically screamed. DH just didn't understand.

My question is, I can't make it on April 30 or May 1 as I have to work. I plan on taking Friday, May 2 off work to go down there with my mom. Will everything be picked over by then? I'm afraid I won't be able to get anything good by going on the 3rd day.

p.s. my next VB purchase will be the petite bowler bag in espresso!

I haven't ever been but have heard that there isn't as much to choose from on the 3rd day but the prices are dramatically better on the 3rd day compared to the other two.
