I noticed Narcoossee's has a notice that says "no dance floor". Does that mean you have to pay extra to set one up, or you can't set one up at all? I think it would be a beautiful location for a reception, but without a dance floor at all, I don't know how to make that work?

Thanks so much!

I was just there a couple of weeks ago and actually that is where we had dinner right before my fiance proposed! (It is beautiful but unfortunately I don't think it is possible to set up a dance floor. This is simply because of the way it is shaped. it is in a circular shape and in the center is the bar and kitchen. The tables wrap around the space in a u form with a set of tyables at the window, then an aisle for people to pass and another set od tables. So that is probably why no dance floor is allowed...otherwise it is a beautiful place w/ a gorgeuous balcony and a view of the castle. the seafood is great (you must like fish to really enjoy this place) good Luck :goodvibes

That makes sense then. Hmmm. Maybe I could set up at dance floor outside? or just dance in the sand outside? Or maybe I should keep looking, unfortunately. My 2 favorite things are the beach and Cinderella Castle so the location/view would have been perfect. I'll keep looking. Thanks so much!

I am not sure how large of a wedding you are having but there is a little house called the summer house which is right in between the pool and the beach at the grand floridian...they do catering! good luck :sunny:

I would bet they can clear an area for dancing, they just may not allow a "dance floor" to be placed there. It wouldn't be needed though, there are lovely wood floors. Since it is multi-level, could you clear the upper area for dancing and use the lower area for seating? I haven't been there for a while but I think that would be my first choice. Then you can keep the deck open for conversation.

that is what i was thinking...but I guess it depends how many people you are having because if they cleared the top there would be seating for too many people maybe 50??? not sure. The thing is also they won't allow anyone to dance on abre wood floor because it will ruin thier expensive parkay! lol! That's probably another reason.
