I really need to vent off some issues that i have seen on thread around here that just get to me so badly. I know most people wont agree with me, and really i do not care. I feel how i feel, period.

Rant #1:

Giving up your seat on a bus: Now i can understand giving up your seat for someone elderly or disabled. Those make perfect sense to me, and are very understandable. But giving it up for kids... im sorry but they are young, healthy, and strong. Not to mention usualyl bouncing up and down anyways. so i just dont see the point anyways. yes standing up is dangerous.. but it is dangerouse for EVERYONE..not just kids.. the difference is that kids can heal quicker than adults or older people.

Rant #2:
Going on vacation without your kids: I'm sorry but adults need breaks too. adults do a heck of alot more than kids and deserve a break. they have the family to support, a job to deal with, paying outragous prices for things, etc the list goes on and on.. so they need the break where they dont have to worry about things. where they can let their hair down and relax. like as an example, a disney cruise without the kids.. they can drink and not have to worry about their kids, cuz they are at home with a trusted from or family member(s). Not to mention it does give the kids a break from the parents and enjoy some time with said trusted friend or family member. can leave them with the grandparents or something. Kids love spending time with their grandparents, they get spoiled.

Rant #3:
all the special treatment pregnant women get: i'm so sick of how pregnant women expect to get treated like a stupid porclien doll. Now not all of them do it like that. But there are many that do. I'm sorry.. but just cuz your pregnant doesnt make you better than everyone else.. It doesnt mean you deserve special treatment.

:worship: I agree with you on 1, and 2. #3 I agree with you, but if i saw a 9 month preg lady, i would probably give her my seat...But i dont have a hissie fit if someone doesnt move for her. kwim?? Everyone is tired!!!

I'm with you on the first two, but only halfway on the third. Like the PP said, I'd probably give up my seat for a preggo lady.

I'm with you on 1 and 2 also. Number 3..I don't know...pregnancy is such a special time in a woman's life. I don't mind a little bit of special treatment especially the first time around b/c noone really cares by the 2cnd time:rotfl2:

i will never get pregnant so i dont see the point, there are hundreds of thousands of family-less kids out there.. why bring more into the world? i dont see the point..

im surprised i havent gotten flamed for this yet.. everytime i voice my thoughts i get flamed by everyone and their brother..

Who cares? Mostly I'm just turned off by your special princess purple centered text. :rotfl:

Are you a control freak?

You center you paragraphs, write in purple,.....

If this is all you have to complain / vent about, I would say you have a great life.

when you then get infractions for stating your thoughts yeah i care'

and i hate beinng like everyone else.. so its either this color or the bright pink.. no inbetween or other choice for me..

no I'm not.. that stuff just annoys me, and thats just from what ive seen on here. see above post for the color

#1 I agree to a certain point. If I see a young child (not school aged) I would give my seat up for them. Not because they are unhealthy, but because they usually lack coordination/reflexes to stand safely. Any child that is school aged, I agree with you.

#3 you never know if the person has a high risk pregnancy or not. Some deserve special treatment. I never did personally so I never really got into the "I'm pregnant do it for me please?" thing.

I don't even get why #2 is an issue for you if you don't have kids though.

My teeny rant is that posts that are always centered are a bit hard to read ;)

Ya know, if you don't care to read the thread, you don't have to. I don't undersand why to state you don't care for something, but post that you hate it.

I really don't care for the whine threads myself. If I don't agree, I don't respond, most of time. I do have a life outside of this message board.

Ummmm...because some people actually *like* kids...

I agree with all three of your points. They are valid. I get what you mean about #3. A woman in a healthy pregnancy doesn't need to be treated like the Queen of England by all the non-pregnant people--not necessary.

But, OP, you sound extremely bitter. I'm glad you're happy with your choice not to have children, but must you have such bitterness towards those that do have children? I'm sure you don't like when people question/criticize your choice to be childless (or maybe it's not a choice, I don't know), but doing it in reverse doesn't make you any better than them.

with the kids.. it just annoys me that some people feel guilty for not taking their kids everytime.. adults deserve fun too..

i just like the way it looks.. i use centered for everything.. looks i know this will sound werid.. but i think it looks prettier..

i didnt mean the pregency thing like that. im fine with ppl having kids... i can understand that.. it just saddens me that there so many unloved and family-less..

Your centered writing is extremely hard to read.

If you have never been pregnant, you don't really know how it feels to lug that watermelon around 24 hours a day. You get tired and everything hurts. So in that respect, you are different than an average adult. However, I don't think that being pregnant means that you get special treatment. Someone giving their seat to a pregnant woman is just polite.

For some reason I feel like there is more to #3 than you are letting on. You seem EXTREMELY irritated with pregnant women and it makes me wonder if there is something internal going on there. I know that people get annoyed with princess pregnant women (who in general are princess types when they are not pregnant), but yours is more anger. I wonder where that comes from because honestly, I have never known any pregnant women who think they are better than anyone else. That is a strange way of putting things.

i have been around many many pregnant people.. and most of them do act like that.. i see people like my cousin, and my best friend when they were pregnant, they worked right up until they gave birth... but many others that i have been around, without being in any danger, and yes i would know if they were, seeing as everyone talks here, they are some stupid princess... everything has to be done for them, they cant even lift a finger..
and yes i do have problem swith someone that cant do things for themselves when they are perfectly able to..

Totally agree with you on #1 and #2, but not on #3.

Since you've never been pregnant you have no idea what it's like. Some women have easy pregnancies, but some have very difficult ones and they certainly do deserve some tender loving care. I have had two children, the only problem I had with my first pregnancy was severe morning sickness every single day from 6 weeks to the day he was born. With my daughter, I had a wonderful pregnancy, super easy, it was great. Not everyone is that lucky. Some have a lot of problems and it's nice when other people cut them some slack, or do nice things like give up their seat to them on a bus, or open a door for them, etc.
