anyone had one of these? I have one (it's the gell behind the
eye) and it's accompanied by the biggest "floater" my
opthamologist has ever seen-think big hairy translucent spider
floating around in my line of vision. I'm looking for ways to
lessen the effect until the floater goes away. It's way worse
when I'm looking at a pale or pastel backgroud-ie, computer
screen :(
not painful but a pain in the patoot!
Thanks for any info to relieve the floater.

Not sure what they are called, but I have tons of those floaters. Some days I dont even notice them, but sometimes(like you said, looking at a computer screen or the like) they drive me insane.
Sorry I dont have any advice for you, but I can sympathize.

Floaters can be a pain in the patoot. Recently I have noticed them more when looking away and then back to the computer screen. Luckily for me, my niece works for an oplthamic specialist so I got right in to have it checked out. Now I know I'm lucky that it's nothing serious, just "age". Boy did she gloat when she told me that one!
I find if I close my eyes when I go to look back at the computer screen they seem to be more manageable. It only takes a second, and it sure has lessened my frustration with those pesky things!

No advice, but that sure sounds annoying!

I just have one tiny one and I can only see it when I try to sleep when it is light out. And that is annoying enough.

It isn't permanent is it?

yep-it's a PVD Deb and as I said-the biggest floater my
opthamologist has ever seen! I've found with other health
issues that there are things docs don't want to mention-don't
know about-think are insignificant, that I found useful. I'm
collecting all data from all sources as I always do and looking
at it from an analytical angle. I'm one of those crazy folks who
hates to leave any stone unturned when it comes to my
health. Thanks everyone for your input!

If I'm not mistaken, there isn't much to be done about floaters except surgery. I have them myself, ever since I was 22. My eye doc told me it's an "age" thing too. I guess she meant way back when the life expectancy was around 30!
