Venting - I hate when you ask a computer expert a question...

...and they give you some Geeky answer that they expect you to understand but leaves you even more confused. If I could speak Geek, I wouldn't have asked the question to begin with.

I used to hate that! Although I hated even more to be told that they'd "have to come see it" instead of just giving me a "yes" or "no" answer . . . . . then I started working at a place evaluating software & became a geek myself.

My father & sister are so tired of my "geek" answers that they now preface their questions with: "Explain it to me like I don't know a thing about computers . . . " Unfortunately, it all becomes so "matter of fact" & obvious to us that we aren't careful enough with our answers.

I'm sorry that happened - if you still need help, you could PM me & I'll see if I know the answer & try to speak English instead of Geek.

I don't have this problem and I'm married to a computer geek. When he uses a term I don't understand, I just ask him to clarify it and its function. I've learned a lot that way.

I give him a ton of credit for being so patient with my ignorance, too.
