Venting frustration: what's up with the calendar??

So finally May hours are here, but first, no WoC. "Patience" I told myself, "they will (eventually) enter all entertainment information".
Then today, the park hours for May 3rd were not up the first 100 times I enter to look them up :sad2: So I said to myself, yet once again "patience! they will put the hours when they want to". So they did at the umpth try. "Yes!!" I again said to myself (coworkers then where looking at me suspiciously :rolleyes1).
"Patience has been rewarded".
Then I noticed that I didn't review the parade hours, and to my utterly surprise, the information was gone!! :scared1: Just like that! No park hours for May 3rd.
 I'm grumphy.

First, you are correct. The entertainment schedule goes up later than the hours. It won't be posted until a month before, so you're still too early.

As far as the disappearing hours, different browsers for some reason do this. Also, iPhones don't see the same calendar as online. For example the calendar on my iPhone will say no Magic Morning, but my computer through Firefox will. Bottom line. Be patient ;) you'll find out soon.

I think they fixed it? I can see the "featured parade" but still that's just about the only thing. Still no WOC though, and I certainly hope they'll be playing it through May. However just like you, I seem to be impatient with their scheduling. :/

It's not a very good to look at the extreme end of the calendar. Those days can come and go. A few days from the end will stay posted.

The calendar is frustrating. They take forever to put it up and then it's not complete. Like everyone said, be patient. I know it's hard when planning a trip!:)

Yes, I believe I'm quite impatient... I've been waiting for the hours for what seems forever, so I was very excited when they began to fill them up...
Thanks for listening!! I was just venting, I saw again the calendar. I'll have to wait another 15 days then to see WoC hours and the final touches!

You think you're impatient?! I'm used to planning WDW trips with everything released at 6 months out! This last minute stuff is driving me nuts! :headache:

On the good side, there really is no reason to know what day you are going to see the parade 6 months out. :goodvibes We don't know which night we are seeing the fireworks until we get there. (Although I do suggest putting that on one of your first nights just in case they have to cancel due to winds and you have to try again). If you are getting a WOC dinner package or F! dessert then you better plan and call that in when the window opens. Otherwise, I don't really see a reason to plan each day so far ahead. Relax and enjoy the non stress of DLR. :rotfl:

Well, certainly is not working!! (the "relax-and-non-stress" part"):rotfl2:
I saw my last park-day hours today (friday May 4th), but I wasn't able to go into detail, and now not only that day "dissapear" (with 2 browsers), but yesterday as well !!
I too am used to have the park hours 6 months in advance, I get that this is a completly, stress-free  different vacation, but I like to see EVERYTHING before my trip, so I can daydream about each day :upsidedow
Of course, I repeat myself that we don't need reservations (but for BB, done!) and we can choose the restaurant that we feel like in that moment, and that's good.
But still...I WANT MY PARK HOURS!! (btw, I'm 42, not 12 :lmao:)

I am so there with you. I am planning this trip as a surprise for my DH and I am sitting here at the laptop muttering and sputtering because I see the hours then they disapear.:confused3

He keeps asking me what is up and I'm muttering "work is driving me crazy" Which is true just not at this particular moment.

I too am not 12, 50 here. You would think I could do this without minor jumping up and down.

I'm confused. I thought I had made a WOC seating reservation at the Ariel restaurant for my May trip...but the hours aren't even out yet? How did I make this reservation if they don't know that WOC will be on that night? I have the document in front of me where I saved the date and time.

From what I've read, WoC is daily, but if they cancel the show, they give you no guarantees. Like WoC is a nice perk, but not a sure thing.
You can read Hidroguy's excellent guide to WoC, it covers that part quite nicely.

ah ok, thank you, I will.

Just so you know Ariels is closed for renovations. We were planning on doing the WoC dining there for our trip April 28 thru May 4 and when we called to make our reservations, they said we would have to do the Wine Country Trattoria WoC package because Ariels would be closed.

Maybe you should try calling them.

It's going to be open around mid-may though, right? We wanted to eat there, but we're not sure if it's worth the extra money to reserve seats for WOC at Ariels.

I am sorry. I am not sure when they will reopen. I only know there was nothing available at Ariels during our trip (4/28 thru 5/4). Hopefully someone can answer your question.

We are signed up for May 8 at 6:30 pm. But I will call again to make sure.

Yeah I was super disappointed when I looked last week at the April 22nd through 25th calendar and they had posted that every day was Fantasmic and Fireworks and then all of a sudden they took them all away except for the Sunday. It's had to fit both Fantasmic and Fireworks into one night
