You used to have to walk down the sidewalk on the street, which only took a little while, but now it's even a little bit shorter distance since they put in a bridge going across. It's a very easy walk. There may be a bus to Saratoga Springs from DTD, but if there is, it would be a waste of time. It's a very short walk.

I hadn't been to DS/DTD since the construction started, but made a trip over via boat from POFQ when I was staying there last month. I was only interested in the Marketplace section, and it didn't seem too bad crowd or construction wise. I will be happy when all the construction is done though. As a local I enjoy going to DS/DTD and it's been very frustrating with all the road and parking construction.

As to the rest of my trip, I did notice some busy days on the weekends, but the weekdays weren't bad at all. I was there the second and third week of March, coming home a couple weeks before Easter. I didn't have any issues with CMs or even with rude tourists (other than the usual "stop and block the walkway" issue that seems to happen everywhere these days). I have been to WDW Christmas week and Easter Week and I prefer to visit other times if I can.

Sorry your trip wasn't as pleasant you had hoped. I hope it gets better!

I miss the old days when you could dance at a club to disco and hang out at the Adventurers Club. I probably complained about the crowds then too.
