Vent...why why why....

Would you go to the store, fill up three buggies of groceries and then get in line. Once there unload your three carts and look at the cashier and say....

"I only have 70 dollars...I should be good right?"....

NOOOOO....you are not good. The woman was in her 30's at least...she has to know the prices or at least looked at them as she walked the store.

The best part...after rining up the groceries...her total was 345.00 at which point she decides to take things off, one item at a time...starting with the 25 cent bag of koolaid.

And before I get flamed and called judgemental..I didn't say anything as I waited through the 50 minute process of what she needed and didn't need and what she could live without and what she couldn't...I never said a word. Why do I always pick the line with the worst worst customer in it?

Ah, I see we posted at the same time.

Y'know, I've been known to take all my groceries off the belt, put them back in the cart, and go to a different line. It's usually faster. Especially if you had to wait through a 50-minute process.

2 minutes to restack my stuff in the cart, 2 minutes to find another line, maybe wait 10 minutes in that line. Hmmm....

I'd have moved too- asked an employee to help me load my cart back up even. No way would I stand there for 50 minutes while Suzy Stupid Shopper decided if she could live without a Hawaiian Punch.....

I would never flame you. You sound like a saint. I'd have packed my stuff up and moved while laughing hysterically at the thought that removing a packet of kool aid was going to get her from $345 down to $70.

No, I think that award goes to me.....I always joke that some how, I always pick the slowest line there is.

Too bad the woman did that. It should have been obvious to her that she did not have enough money. Maybe there was something wrong with her..like a mental handicap or something. At any rate, you must be a very patient person for not saying a word.

Yes, the manager should have been called over. Something about that doesn't make sense. And as someone else suggested, they should have asked the woman to step aside, and pick out what she wanted until she got to the $70. Not make everyone behind her wait 50 minutes or however long it was.

Sounds like my sister in law. She looks normal, speaks normally (for short conversations), holds a job, etc. but has a learning disability where she has absolutely NO concept of numbers or money. She would have honestly thought she could pay for all that stuff with $70. She also would have no concept that a .25 packet of koolaid wouldn't reduct the bill down to the correct amount.
