Yep, this one is headed for the debate board.....
But, I do agree with the OP for the most part. Putting the Bush/Kerry debate aside for a moment, if you just consider the things Senator Kennedy has said, he is full of hate speech and does not respect the views of others. He has said things that are completely inappropriate, yet no one questions him on it. Now that deserves a line of
's.
Having been born and raised in Massachusetts I've got something to add. Ted Kennedy has based his whole career on keeping the Massachusetts voters hating republicans and anything conservative America stands for. How else would someone accused (remember he was not convicted of anything) of something as serious as Chappaquidic be elected over and over again?
The man is rabid and disrespectful. I've always said that he belongs in the Senate because he is there doing what our founding fathers intended for him to do, represent the (nutty) liberal majority of Massachusetts. I do look forward to a day, though, when he is gone. I feel sure Massachusetts will become less rabid liberal and more moderate.
My opinion of T.K. hit rock bottom this January when he actively shook his head no and then seemed to almost fall asleep during the president's state of the union address. He is disrespectful and hostile. That's neither professional or productive (for the U.S.)
BTW - as the worlds #1 superpower we do have a moral obligation to help those oppressed who can't help themselves. Iraqis are almost completely free to live without fear and to build their own future. We need to remember the torture chambers, rape rooms and the vast (and disgusting) polarity between the dire conditions the Iraqi people lived in vs. the ridiculously lavish, pampered lifestyle of the Hussein family and regime.
Get over it liberals, find another issue to pick the president apart on in order to get Kerry elected. Oh,.... that's right, there isn't a whole lot else you can complain about because president Bush is a strong leader who has surrounded himself with excellent advisers and cabinet members who know their stuff. Being a good president isn't just about your ideas, it's about "managing" the staff, the economy and the world. We don't need another idea man, we need someone to manage the big picture.
