VENT - Someone stole my friends Truffle!!!

Earlier today one of the women at work mentioned she'd never had a truffle. Well, I was out at lunch with DBF and my other friend and I decided to get this woman a Lindt Truffle at Borders. (they are like $0.65).

So I put it on her desk and told her everyone needs to try a truffle at least once. She was pretty happy about it. She got up to go to a meeting for 20 minutes and when she came back the truffle was gone.

Food stealing is a common thing here but I'm still mad. Grown adults in an office should know better than to take candy off of someone's desk without asking.

I mean, the truffle was ON her desk near her computer, not in a candy dish that was obviously meant to be shared.

Isn't there a godiva in the building behind you in your signature picutre. Or close to there. Maybe a replacement is necessary. I agree EVERYONE has to try a truffle just once.

And yes that is a Godiva. We also used to have a Fanny farmer right in our building and a Mrs. Fields Cookies across the street. Oh we work in chocolate heaven.

Stealing Chocolate is a crime.
Now I want some chocolate.
We have a shop in my town that makes some of the best chocolate, they make these espresso infused chocolate drops that look like coffee beans... mmmm!

I am pretty sure that theft is not a crime punishable by death, but stealing someone's first truffle out to be!!! I love Lindt truffles, they are sinful.....

this thread reminds me of the Friends episode where joey didn't want his date to eat his food. Normally friends is kinda funny, but I'm also the kind of person that doesn't like when people take food off my plate, so I felt his pain.

If I was that woman I would be fuming. I can't STAND it when people take my food (unless of course, I offer it to them).
