Ok..so my BF has been having these stomach pains. He went and got tested, and they thought it was Celics Disease, which is basically an allergy to all wheat, barley, rye, etc. It turns out, it wasn't that, thank God. So now he's getting more testing done to see what the problem is. (I'm thinking it's some kind of ulcer or something. He doesn't have any other symptoms besides the pains)

So anyway, he went to the doc today, and he told me that on Friday he needs to get some kind of surgical procedure. So I ask him what they are going to do..and he says "I don't know."

So I say, "What do you mean you don't know? They didn't tell you?"

"No. I just don't want to tell you what they are going to do to me..."

This isn't the first time he's done it. He did it before with the other testing. I brushed it off, because I figured it was something embarrassing..like sticking a tube up his butt or something.

But this time?! It's going way too far. If they are doing some kind of surgery on him, I would like to know. And I told him that, but he just kept repeating, "I don't want you to know." It's not fair to me to be kept in the dark with something this serious.

I just need to get this off my chest, so when I talk to him about it tomorrow, I don't blow up and say things I don't mean.

Thanks for stopping by and listening.

that is really sucky.
i don't even know what to tell you.
boys can be REALLY stubborn (well, so can girls lol)
but i really really hope her comes around and realized that you're just asking because you care and you're concerned rather than you being nosy or trying to embarrass him or whatever it is he's got in his mind :confused3

:hug::hug::hug::hug:
hope everything works out well!!!!

Good luck with tomorrow. I hope everything turns out alright! :goodvibes
Thank you

Thank you. He's a very stubbon guy, but I wish he wasn't. This is just really frustrating to me. It's making me feel like he doesn't want me to be around or something. Of course that's me just being dramatic b/c I'm PMSing..lol but i'm just so frustrated about this. UGHHHH!! i need a good scream.

okay a little TMI but my cousin is having about the same problem...they found his stool was dark and had blood in it....he is getting his GI checked..Ask him if he has had it checked...

Good luck Julie's BF feel better soon. Good luck to you too Julie..i hate worrying if a BF is going to be okay:hug:

Aww..I hope your cousin is ok!!
And thank you. I really think it's some kind of ulcer. He's Guatemalan and he looooves spicy food. He literally dumps hot sauce on everything. All that spicy stuff isn't good for your stomach. And his stomach doesn't hurt all the time, he eats normally, he isn't losing weight, no temp or vomiting..so that's leading me to believe it's nothing really serious.

My mom, who's a nurse, thinks it might be an ulcer or irrital bowel syndrome, caused by the spicy foods. We'll find out soon enough. And thanks again for your concern.

thats probably why he's not telling you. he may be embarrassed. i'm not saying its right, but that might be whats going on.

now for my advice, do you know his mom? could you, nonchalantly text her and ask her whats going on with him? (i know my mom would LOVE to tell matt all about if i had to get a tube stuck up my butt. ;)) it might work. :confused3

Yeah, and I totally understand if he's embarrassed by it. Even though he tells me all about the embarrassing parts of his life (aka bodily functions..lol). And that's why I didn't push it the first time. But if he's getting some kind of surgery, I would like some insight into what's going on.

And about the asking his mom, it is an option, but I think it's a last resort. If he found out, he would be livid with both of us. I think he would feel betrayed. But if it comes to that, I think I might just do it. I do have his mom's cell phone number, so I could easily text her.

it sounds like its a sticky situation all around. if, at the last minute, he's still not told you, i'd ask his mom.

aww nana, i'm sorry!
this isnt fair to you at all :/

but i'm sure he has good reason behind it.

guys are stupid. even when they have the best intentions (;

he probably doesnt want you to worry .

yeahh . i agree . just talk to him and be like - whatever it is, i'll understand .

It could be IBS. I have it, and my stomach hurts randomly for no reason. If it is, they probably won't find anything in the tests because it is a rule out condition.

I hope he turns out okay! I would literally die if anything happened to my boyfriend.

Yeah, I think I'll do that if he doesn't talk to me later today.
I think he will open up to me if I explain how I'm feeling. I hope so..lol

Haha..so true.
And I know that's why he's not telling me. It's because he's probably embarrassed by it, and he doesn't want me to worry. Which is just ridiculous because I think I'm worrying more because he's not telling me.

Thanks. I'm a little worried, but I really don't think it's anything serious. His only symptom is stomach pains. No fever, no weight loss, no vomiting, no change in appetite. If there were other symptoms, it would be something more serious. That's what my mom has been telling me.

I just want him to tell me what's going on.
