You're correct.
But that's just me, YMMV.I'm sorry, but that's funny. Of course I don't have a problem with swear words overall. I have been told I could put a sailor to shame when it comes to that. Not exactly something I'm proud of but we all have bad habits. I don't drink alcohol or coffee, don't smoke, don't do drugs, don't gamble, don't lie patholgically, don't worship the devil, etc but I can curse up a storm. The LK 4 said:I saw one the other day that said, "Jesus loves you. (and in smaller print) But everybody else thinks you're an *******."I'm glad my kids didn't see that one.

Do you have children? Is it OK with you if they go around saying the F word? If it's not OK with you, why not?Miss Jasmine said:What makes the F word worse than other words? It's just a word.![]()

Talk about hypocrites!
Did you have the same reaction when bumper stickers appeared in the 90's with the word "Bush" replaced with "Clinton"?JudicialTyranny said:What I find amusing are the cars that have these "F" Bush and other vitriolic, crude stickers on one side and then the "Mean People Suck", "Hate is not a Family Value", and "Random Acts of Kindness" stickers on the other side.Talk about hypocrites!
The Bush Haters have gone insane.![]()
I do have a DD14 and DS13 from DH's first marriage. I know they have potty mouths, but they respect us enough not to say it around us. Their mom doesn't seem to care, and it's not a battle we choose to fight.JudicialTyranny said:Do you have children? Is it OK with you if they go around saying the F word? (And "well they don't say it" is not an answer - is it OK with you IF they do?)
I guess my question is how did the F word get elevated as one of the worst words?

I dunno about this... when VP Cheney dropped the F-bomb on Sen. Leahy on the Senate floor, that was considered to be pretty terrible and class-less.Also, let us not be so sanctimonious as to suggest that people who swear are terrrible, class-less people.

Thank-you. As I said in my earlier post I swear alot but I don't think it makes me "terrible or class-less".RC Fan said:Like it or not the 'F' word is something your kids will see written, or will hear probably quite often.
