I've searched and of course haven't really found anything on this. We will have Randy Chapman for 7 hours on our wedding day (ceremony through DP). We are having dinner at the California Grill and have included him in our food budget. Should I just inform Randy of our dining arrangement and invite him to join us? We won't really have choices as everyone will be served the same selections. I'm not sure what to do with this. TIA! :goodvibes

Normally the "vendor" meal is some sandwich or something but I didn't think that since Randy would be with us for so long that i wanted to serve him that although that is usually what he expects and is fine with that as he tells us.

You wouldn't want to includse him in your guests count because he will not eat all the courses (just the main) he will be too busy photographing. So if you want to serve him what you are serving the guests just tell your planner she/he will price that accordingly.

Like Pixie08 we didn't want to serve him the vendor meal. I wanted to give him our dual plate but our planner thought it was ridiculous to spend so much on his meal . I still wish we would have but instead of getting him the vendor meal for $15 (I think it's around that price :confused3) we are giving him the children's plate of chicken fingers and sides. He seemed pretty excited about it but Randy is such a nice guy I'm sure he would be happy with just being fed! :goodvibes When I was debating between the two plates (dual or children's) I just emailed him and asked which he'd prefer. He responded that the chicken fingers would be great (and easier to eat).
