Velvet Sessions at HRH

Just posted the same thing on the Universal board but thought I would ask here too.

Has anyone been to Velvet Sessions? Is it worth it? Is it like a full-blown gig or more of a party with a live band?

Any other info you have would be great - I really fancy it but having difficulty convincing DH.

It's a great night. The main lobby of the HRH is turned into a concert venue, lighting rig etc. There is mingling, food and drink before and after with the show between. Held on the last Thursday of each month.

Really depends who the act is. We saw the Bangles, who really are not my "thing" but it was a good night.

Is it very busy? How many people would you say were there?

Couldn't say how many were there, but it's busy without being squashed. A lot of people turn out because it's for charity.

Thanks Kevin, I've just bitten the bullet and bought tickets anyway so we'll see. Roll on next Thursday
