Veiled Yeti

I heard on an early May pod cast (Inside the Magic) that there was a curtain over the Yeti in Expedition Everest. First of all, is this true and second, could they finally be repairing it. I sure hope so. It is an incredible ending to the ride but "disco Yeti" SUCKS!!!!

Too true, it's not nearly as incredible as when the yeti is actually moving. I don't know anything about the work being done to the yeti though.

Recent reports on the theme park board indicate any tarps or anything else covering her are gone, and she's still in B-mode...

We just came back from WDW on 6/19.

The first time we rode Everest this trip was probably 6/7, and there was NO Yeti - just darkness through that last part.

We rode again about a week later and it was back to the strobe effect.

My sister and I rode Expedition Everest at the after-party for the Expedition Everest Challenge, and she was there - I thought she lunged for us, but that might have been the excitement of the evening.

How long has it been with the strobe light-effect? I somehow missed the thing in my only ride 1 year ago. I think I happened to look down at my quivering daughter at the moment I should have seen the yeti, but I have been baffled at how I could miss something so large. I have seen her on the travel channel videos.
