I am considering a veil, but I am not sure. My dresss is strapless and my hair will be up with a tiara. We are getting married at Seabreeze point. Any opinions on this?

I love the way a veil looks and I think it makes you really feel like a bride. Most of my friends took there veils off at the reception and I kept mine on all day. I really think it makes you feel like a princess and my husband loved it, every time we look at our Wedding photos he tells me how much he loved my dress and my veil. It looked so beautiful in some of the photos outside when the wind was blowing.

I was told by numerous Moms that I must wear a veil...personally, I would say go without and show off the tiara:)

I didn't really care for the idea, then I tried one on when out shopping and had to have one. I would say try it on and see what you think. You might even bring a camera with you so you can get a few different views of what you look like with it on.

When DD got married, she had both a long veil and a blusher at the wedding in New Jersey - when she got to Disney for her ceremony at the Wedding Pavilion, she simply removed the long veil and replaced it with the blusher at the back -it was short, just about to her shoulder, and was attached in both instances by a velcro strip. Maybe you could have just a little "blusher" attached at the back of the tiara - it looks beautiful and doesn't at all get in your way, it should blow in the breeze and would look great! Good luck!! :Pinkbounc

I decided against a veil for 2 reasons first I was afraid it would blow around at Sunset Point and second at my friend wedding everytime someone hugged her they were yanking on the veil.

I was married at SBP and it was very windy that day. I wore an elbow length veil and it looks awesome in most of the shots. I took it off at the reception.

I agree with the poster who suggested trying one on. I wasn't crazy about the idea myself, but when I tried one on while dress shopping, I *loved* it. Keep in mind that there's so much variety to veils... you don't have to have something huge and poufy if you don't want it.

I agree that you should try one one. I was pretty against wearing one, but when I tried some on, putting the veil on really made me feel like a bride.

I'm getting married in a few weeks ( :earseek: ) though not at Disney.

I never really wanted a veil-- I tried some on at the bridal store and *still* didn't want it.

So I'm going without. Instead, I have a beaded tiara/headband thing that looks wonderful with my dress. :teeth:

I wore a waist-length veil and LOVED it. I cannot imagine not wearing one.

With that said...I worked in a bridal salon for a while and many brides did not want one...until we told them, "Just try it"...most of them ended up with a veil because they felt more like a bride with one on. It is, however, a personal decision.

Maybe borrow one from a friend and get your hair done with it on, then try on your dress and see what you think. Trying one out "for real" with your hair done and your dress may give you a very definite answer.

I found that my veil completed the whole bridal look! It just seemed as if something was missing without it! My dress was quite simple and i also wore a tiara. :bride:
I wore a cathedral length veil and took it off just before our first dance
