We're thinking about taking DS to see BBWWS when we visit in January and having been very unimpressed by the main course when we went last time (the meat was way too greasy for my liking) I'm wondering if anyone's had the veggie option recently and can tell me what it was like.

Thanks!

Afaik it's still the same as ever

Corn bread, Végé chili, Cheese filled pasta and apple crumble with ice cream

I won't be going before August though to check :goodvibes

hi, im so pleased you have asked this as i was wondering myself.

i have booked the veggie option for myself, hubby and eldest daughter

i have a cheese allergy, do you think they would possibly swap this for something else, i think i heard they did potato wedges but that will probably be outdated.

thanks :)

That's what they were doing in Feb, that I do know.

The potato wedges come with the meat but you could always ask well in advance so it could be noted on your ticket that you can't eat cheese and see what they can do.

:)

Had a great time at BBWWS, but wish I'd booked the veggie option! Not a big meat eater and negotiating ribs in the dark was tricky!

I had the veggie option it was disgusting pasta and loads of weird vegetables that had no taste.

I didn't rate any of the food at BBWWS to be honest (we were there 6 months ago) apart from the apple crumble.

My DD had the vegetarian option, and I tasted it (she didn't like it at all). It was cheese-filled tortellini in a strong cheese sauce, with green beans, and a couple of other steamed veggies.

Does anyone know what the non pork option is? I saw this on their flyer yet it doesn't say what exactly you'd be getting.

You used to get double chicken but I don't know if that's changed :confused3 I always get the végé option as I don"t eat pork

that photo is certainly similar to the vegetarian dish my DD got in November 2011.

Now I know why so many people complain about the food- the pics don't look to appetising - is the show good?
