Veggie and Vegan Eating

So DH and I are planning a trip in there eventually. When I went last year I was not a vegetarian, now I am. What places are good for vegetarian and vegan eating?????

Good info to have is...if it says it's vegetarian, it is. Also they want to please as many people as possible. So the refried beans aren't cooked with lard, and the rice at the mexican restaurants isn't cooked with meat broth. And so on. Counter service places and the bakery/snacky type places should all have a binder right behind the counter with nutrition and ingredient info for you to look at. Table places should be able to send the chef out.

Blue bayou does a nice portabella thingy. Hungry Bear has a vegan hamburger, and of course there is always salad and fries. There is a vegetable skewer at the bengal restaurant also. Also one of the new orleans restaurant has ratatouille. My daughter is vegan so I notice.

The vegetable skewers at bengal barbeque are pretty good.

Redd Rocket's Pizza Port in Tomorrowland has several salads without meat, spaghetti w/Marinara sauce, and a vegetarian pizza.

The French Market in New Orleans Square has a baked pasta gratinee that is wonderful.

I think Cafe Orleans (also in NOS) has Ratatouille.

The Big Thunder Ranch Barbecue has a vegetarian vegetable skewer (has tofu, onion, I think bell pepper and some other stuff) which is very tasty, and the sides are all vegetarian (barbecue beans, cole slaw, corn bread, and corn wheels at dinner).
