Hey! Once again we're headed to disney world in september. I'm trying to make ADRs so I just want to get a feel of what everyone's favorites are.

I'm looking at:

coral reef
boma is a definate (already have the ADR)
ohana (I hope they still have the vegetarian meal?)

What else does everyone like?

Tell me about these places if you've been: Rose and Crown and coral reef, and anywhere else.

Thanks!
tricia.

Hmm, it will be interesting to see responses for this. Based on the menu I thought Ohana's was the worst choice for vegetarian to have breakfast. We are going to Chef Mickey's, but would have also chosen, Cape May, Boma or H&V over Ohana's.

There is a great dining review by a vegetarian on the DR board...it was there a couple of weeks ago... let me see if I can find it and bump it up for you. I enjoyed reading it just to get ideas of where to get some meals with vegetables and not just fries or carrot sticks!

OK, it's still on page one--the review by spaceacewannabe. Lots of pics!! Hope this helps!

I was going to suggest Boma but I see it's already on your list ;)

It's the only buffet I've been to that gave me more choices than salad and very basic veggies! Show up hungry - if you're not on the DDP it's very expensive! I enjoyed it a great deal (if you couldn't tell) :lmao:

While I am not a vegetarian - I can tell you that we had a fantastic mushroom risotto at Le Cellier that was under the filet mignon. I am sure you can order it as an appetizer or an entree as Disney is always very accomodating. If you see it anywhere else on the menu - order it as I am sure it is made from the same recipe. My mouth is watering right now.

Can someone tell me about the vegetarian meal? We are going to Ohana for Mums birthday and I'm a vegetarian (although I will eat seafood if there is nothing else. But if there is a vegetarian meal all the better.

Hi
I don't eat any meat, but I will eat seafood. I love O'hana. I know they have a vegetarian dish, but I've never had it. There's always plenty to eat with the shrimp, potatoes (they're delicious), mixed veggies, and I love the chips with the peanut sauce. Then there's the bread pudding for dessert. I don't like bread pudding, but this is really good. It comes with vanilla ice cream and a carmel sauce with bananas in it on the side. We have ADR's for O'hana again in August.:goodvibes

Have you gone to allearsnet.com? They post all the menus there and have a special section about vegetarian dining.

Rose and Crown was FANTASTIC. I highly recommend it.

Jiko was also fantastic, I haven't tried Boma but I've heard wonderful things about that, too.

Other TS restuarants I've had great meals at (vegetarian) are Artists Point and Chefs de France.

If you're looking for CS, the hummus/broccoli slaw sandwich at Columbia Harbor House in MK is my favorite CS by far. There are a lot of good veggie burgers to be had too - at Pecos Bills, Cosmic Rays, etc.

I've also had good CS meals at Sunshine Seasons in Epcot, and the Morocco CS in Epcot.

STAY AWAY from the Noodle Terrace in MK and the Japanese CS in Epcot - the veg options at both these places were awful!

BTW, I don't know about the OP, but vegetarians don't eat shrimp, pescatarians do.

The vegetarian meal at Ohana is terrific, go without fear for dinner!

You won't regret Boma - it's a veritable gastronomic playground for all!

Crystal Palace in the MK is a wonderful option. Yum.

Boma too.

I can not think of a Disney owned place that does not have a good option for vegetarians. But don't assume something is animal free, ask. The Vegetable lo-main at some places has beef broth in it (Noodle Station and I think one other place ? ).

The risotto may not be vegetarian and may be made with animal stock. But who knows? :)

I think the O.P. was looking at O'hana's for dinner. But I did the breakfast in december, it was really good. I am a lacto-ovo so there was alot to eat. The eggs were good, the potatos were really good. I loved the big serving of fresh fruit, there were also some breads. It was great.

Since DD isnt a vegetarian we had a small serving of the meat for her but our platter was overflowing and I cannot wait to go back!
