This will be my 4th year at the Food and Wine Fest, and I'm a little surprised that there is not a single event scheduled for vegetarians. Not complaining, as I'm thrilled to pieces that WDW has ANY veggie food :sunny: , just surprised.

If they would do just ONE vegetarian Party For The Senses or dinner/wine pairing or chef's presentation, I would go out of my way to go to it.

We will be going to the Festival at least 2 weekends this year (2 days in September and 4 days in November already scheduled, possibly more TBA) and of course I will have a fabulous time seeking out the veggie samplers at the various booths and eating at various counter service and table service restaurants. But I would love to go to a REAL F&W Fest vegetarian event! Anybody else??

I WISH thay had vegetarian offerings at the Party for the Senses!!! :hyper:

I really wish they would have more veggie offerings at the F&W Fest overall. But honestly, my experience with our wedding food is that the Epcot chefs are TERRIBLE at cooking vegetarian. :crazy2:

They tried to cook about 5 different veg dishes for our food tasting and it was a disaster. :scared1:

We gave up and just had a 1/2 veg menu and the rest was meaty for my omnivorous guests.

I would love to see more veg options at WDW...period. Yes, special events would be great too, as I will be at F&WF this year, but baby steps should be taken ;) As a whole, the veg options offered at WDW are horrible! Unless you call a steamed meatless patty on a limp bun that is supposed to taste like meat appetizing :crazy2: . Hello???? as a vegetarian why would I want something "meaty"?

I've become pretty creative when ordering meals at WDW. For example, you should try the "Erin Deluxe" at Pecos Bills...just order a bun w/ melted cheese, head on over to the topping/condiment area, slap on some mustard, ketchup, lettuce, pickles, mushrooms, tomato, and yum yum yum!

You had a wedding with a food tasting prepared by Epcot chefs??? TELL ME MORE! :sunny: What were the veggie items they prepared and in what way was it a disaster??

Of course, and WDW wedding would be a complete BLAST no matter what the food was like! :cloud9:

I will have to try this when I get sick of the ubiquitous soy patty! (Which is pretty often!)

DH is NOT vegetarian, and he finds the food at WDW fairly mediocre as well (he loves steak and has had ONE good steak at WDW, at Rainforest Cafe, but his second steak there was not good).

Two things I would like chefs at WDW to know about vegetarians: 1. We generally don't like food that tastes like meat (as you mentioned) and 2. Just because we are vegetarian doesn't mean every meal has to have soy or mushrooms. :rolleyes1
