I've been thinking about becoming a vegetarian for awhile now, meat is just REALLY grossing me out lately.

i think im going to try it for a couple days.

what are you opinions on vegetarianism?
are you vegetarian?

I'm a vegitarian.
I have been for a wile now.
I have a suggestion that you try something called MorningStar farms.
It is a bunch of products that have a lot of protein and taste really good.
They are in the frozen food section.
I reccomend black bean burgers, they are an addiction.
Hope I could help? lol.

Power to the vegitarians. I've considered it many times, but there are some meats I can't pull away from, namely poultry. There are some meats that I just don't eat all together. Some days, I don't eat meat, but most days, I do. So, I'm not a vegitarian, but I play around with it.

I admire anyone who can cut meat or any animal product out of their diet.

Haven't you tried this before, and totally failed? lol
xD

Hahah yes.
But that was in like 2nd-4th grade.

I'm a vegetarian. Meat disgusts me...I just thought about what I was eating and there was no way I could eat it anymore.

Morning Star makes great alternatives (fake meat :upsidedow). Their hot dogs taste like the real thing. I also love their veggie burgers. I don't like Boca burgers.

There are also health benefits to not eating meat. People who eat more red meat have been shown to have a higher risk of cancer.

Yep...eating the muscles of animals just doesn't appeal to me at all. I miss bacon and pepperoni but then I think about all the parts :scared1: that is used to make those things, along with some hot dogs and lunchmeats, and it is so easy to not eat them!

I swear Morning Star is a gift from God.
I even think it tastes better than real meat.
:P
"Being a vegatarian is easy with Morning Star!"
I sound like a commercial. lol.
...
but also you should try their tomato basil pizza burgers. sooo good. :D
everything from morining star is good.

I can't do it, it makes me feel guilty.
But the name of the story is...
In the end, I don't care. IT TASTE GOOD. The idea of not eating steak, chicken or turkey... no, I couldn't do it.
Wish I could, but I can't.

I can't eat deli meat tho, that's pretty sick tasting. But yeah, if you can be a vegetarian or a vegan or whatever you want to call yourself, good for you, I respect that.

I do too!!! I'm going to have to look for all these other types of burgers. I've only tried the grillers (I think that's what they are called) and they are really good so I haven't ventured to anything else yet. Love their corndogs, hotdogs and sausage though!

have you tried the chicken alternatives?
oh. my. gosh. are they good.
it is amazing.

I *wish* I could be a vegetarian, but my parents are totally against it. :(
Both my sister and I hate almost all types of meat, so yeahh...

No! I was going to ask you that actually. I've been meaning to try them.

I love their meal starters. I make tacos with them. I see on their website they now have riblets. They said they are new...I am going to look for them next time I go to the store.

Why are they against it? If you give them legit reasons why you don't want to eat meat they shouldn't have a problem with it, as long as you get protein in other ways.

The buffalo sauce ones are the best, and they are not very spicy, just a bit.
Also, they have some with broccoli and cheese on the inside.
They are really good too.

I've been a vegetarian for over 12 years. Make sure you take an iron supplement or some multi-vitamin. Good luck!

Noooo idea. They just don't think it is a good idea I guess :confused3

Meat is murder.
Tasty, tasty murder.

I'm not a vegetarian and I don't have the will power to be one. Good luck!

Well, our star first baseman for the Milwaukee Brewers went vegetarian, and he had 16 less homeruns than he did the previous season...Coincidence? I think not.

But good luck to anybody trying this out, I know I wont.

I think the key to eating meat is to eat organic. Hormone free, free range, etc. If I could eat organic, I would. Unfortunately in this poor economy, it's simply not feasible.
